The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Pembrook Place
I was looking for a nice and safe apartment in Rockford that had a washer and drier in unit (attached garage was a bonus). I found that in Pembrook Place. The management is nice and they are quick with maintenance requests. I would sum up Pembrook as an upscale living community. The only negative to living here is the cost, which is more than other places in town. Knowing this, I chose Pembrook because it is upscale and safe. I was willing to sacrifice a couple hundred dollars a month to feel safe in a town with not the best reputation for crime. If you want to feel safe this is the place for you, if you want to save money you may be able to find a cheaper apartment elsewhere. This is my honest review, I am posting this because I have been satisfied with choosing Pembrook Place for my apartment.
I lived here for a year starting June 2015, and it was a very pleasant experience. The apartments, as well as the grounds, are modern, well-maintained, and it felt very much like a home rather than an apartment. The fitness center is great, and the staff were always very helpful and understanding. There were only two things I could complain about: you pay for what you get, and it's fairly expensive to live there alone. Additionally, my upstairs neighbor's pipes ran behind my bedroom wall, which made it difficult to sleep sometimes, especially when they expanded and contracted against a wooden beam inside the wall. I would recommend checking this before choosing any particular unit.
Steer clear! I had many issues while living here and I was a great tenant. Staff: everytime I called the office to ask a question they had an attitude and weren't helpful. They also play favorites with different tenants. Policies: the contract itself is very sketchy...everything is under management discretion, so if any type of issue comes up do not expect to get what you need. Appliances/poor ventilation: the dryer broke many times and they never replaced it. The dishwasher left residue on my dishes. The tiles in the kitchen always came out and I had to glue them back in (but it didn't last). I smelled either smoke or pot through the vents from another apartment. My thermostat broke a number of times as well and only really provided temperature control for the master bedroom. Security deposit: you won't get your money back and you may owe a balance. I kept my apartment completely spotless but they still came up with little things and told me I owed money. I tried to dispute them but they would not budge and told me if I didn't pay they would send it to collections. Overall, I was so disappointed with my living experience and would strongly suggest a different apartment complex in the area.
Apts. are very clean and well mantained. Office staff has very good communication with its residents. Property is very well maintained. They give you the option for pest control. Pets are welcome is a plus. Feels very upscale. Pool and fitness center are awesome! It is great that you are able to rent the club house at a resonable rate if you need a party venue.
