The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Park Place
I've lived here for a year and will continue to be here for the last year I am studying here at EIU as I've really enjoyed living here. What first caught my eye was the perfect location and the very fair price. Most importantly to me the landlady is amazing. She is very efficient and cares about any of my concerns right away. Never had to wait for a response like in other apartment complexes.I once messaged her I was getting really cold as the furnace stopped working in the winter and she immediately sent someone to being me many heaters and would have the maintenance man come fix the furnace next day. He was also friendly! When I was worried about bugs getting in and having dead bugs appearing she came in with someone who sprayed their treatment against that happening on all the windows the very next day as well. Which they do every 3 months by the way which I've never seen before in past places I've rented. As someone who hates the smell of smoking especially weed I was grateful to see her also proactive against it happening when it did. She's a busy woman with different properties but always efficient and shows she cares about her tenants' concerns. That's what really stuck out to me. Lastly, the price of course is great, the laundry prices are good and there's never been a problem with them for me and I love always finding some available. I have never gotten a package stolen either although I know a girl on the first floor did get hers stolen but probably by people that don't live here as her door was out in the open. I personally always got mine right at my door which was nice too. One parking spot is included, it comes fully furnished and I love how comfortable the couches are, and during the winter the sidewalks were always plowed and salted. Highlyy recommend this place!!
No problems, excellent management, and a very fair price. Relative to the other apartments in this area, it’s easily the best one I’ve lived in. I could not suggest it more, and if you are an EIU student, this is your place!
Location is so nice for college students that want to live off campus but within easy walking distance everywhere on campus. I have loved my experience here for over a year. I also appreciate how easy and quick communication is to get something fixed or figured out.
I have lived in the Park Place apartments for about five months now. I love my apartment and feel so welcome here. The property manager and maintenance worker are absolutely wonderful. Every time I have reached out regarding a simple maintenance issue, the manager has been quick to send maintenance to look at it and he is so kind. They are incredibly helpful!
