Positioned twenty miles west of Detroit, the city of Wayne is a classic industrial community that still thrives on the auto industry that brought the region to prominence and prosperity. The Ford Motor Company’s Michigan Assembly Plant and Wayne Stamping & Assembly Plant have operated on the west side of town for over half a century, and still employ thousands of locals. Just a few blocks away, the landscape is filled by tranquil residential neighborhoods, with affordable apartments and single-family homes lining the streets.
In the small Downtown district along Michigan Avenue, the landmark Phoenix Theatre has served the community for over 70 years and continues to screen first-run movies in a vintage setting. Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport sits just south of town and Detroit proper is only a short drive away, making it easy to take a little excursion out of town for a few hours or a few days.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Park Hill Apartments
I have lived here since 2018, and I do not recommend it. It was one of the cheapest options when I moved in that also had availabilities within my timeframe, and the only reason I haven't moved out yet is because I've had financial issues finding anything else nearby, but this past year has been the final straw. They lost my lease 2 times and both times asked me to sign a new one. Maintenance never can be bothered to do much of anything in terms of repairs, and the on site laundry units are never in working order. When my building's main door broke, and we had to keep it propped open to be able to get into the building, management threatened to fine everyone in the building for doing so. Speaking of management, they have a bad case of left hand not talking to the right, and even have gone so far as to illegally threaten to evict me and take me to court despite having been paid up to date on my rent and also not giving me any warning leading up to the summons. I call to have things fixed and I'm told they'll jump right on it, but they can't be bothered to do anything for at least a few days. And the rent is not worth the size and quality of the apartments. I've put up with it because I can't afford to move elsewhere at the moment, but each day I am getting closer and closer to preferring couch surfing over living here.
