Plant City is known for its suburban streets and close-knit community. Flocked with citrus groves, strawberry fields, nursery farms, and pastures, this historic city is a peaceful reprieve from big city living. Situated on Florida’s west coast, Plant City is just 23 miles northeast of Downtown Tampa where you’ll discover restaurants, shops, attractions, and bayfront views.
Holding true to its name, Plant City is home to numerous fields and pastures filled with plants and crops—but the most important pastures to the residents of Plant City are no other than the ones that grow their beloved strawberries. This diverse suburb is home to the Florida Strawberry Festival, an 11-day community event celebrating the strawberry harvest in Eastern Hillsborough County.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Park at Walden Lake
Great experience The maintenance guys came fast and fixed everything I needed help with. Very satisfied with everything so far
Quick Resolution to My Maintenance Request Thank you so much for the quick turnaroud between my request for service late one evening to resolving the issue by the next day, which resulted in less than 24 hrs between my request & mission accomplished! I certainly couldn't ask for any better service than that!
Please tour units before move-in. History of rat infestations, pipe leaks and water damage, rotting wood, cave-ins. Don't be fooled by positive reviews about the front office workers. The apartments themselves are deplorable behind the white latex paint.
Move in experience I had an amazing leasing agent. However, when I moved into my apartment which looked amazing when viewed there had been nothing but problems. I'm hoping to get them solved quickly
leasing office staff was wonderful, waited 10 minutes while kassandra was answer a phone but once she was done she was very helpful and gave us all the answers to questions we had and even took the time to wait for us after she should have been off. great customer service and very helpful. loved the property and the only thing I noticed was trash build up but that was due to city being closed for new years weekend.
This is a good value. I have lived in other places that are much more expensive that have much lower standards. Maintenance here is timely and professionally done. Staff is friendly and professional. Owner is spending capital on repairs, maintenance and renovations.
We have lived here for three years, and right in the middle of our second year, there was a change in the company that owned this complex. We seriously loved it here during our first year. Staff was incredibly communicative, maintenance was speedy, and they clearly put time and effort into treating their tenants like neighbors. Unfortunately, it seems like the new company has changed a lot of policies and procedures. I feel really bad for the staff at the front office. When we renewed our lease, our new paperwork was inaccurate, names were wrong, the correct ones were spelled wrong, etc. They also get our names wrong in emails constantly. They used to offer reserved parking, and when we requested to reserve a space, they said they were out of Reserved signs, so we would have to wait until the new order of them came in. That was over 6 months ago, and we still haven't heard a word on that. Maintenance is really slow these days, it has taken almost a full week for maintenance to show up, and then all of a sudden on a random day they come while we're at work, which is hard on us because we need to know in advance what days to lock our cat up so she doesn't go running out the door when they come in. It just seems like all the changes the new company made put such a strain on the staff, and it makes living here comfortably really, really difficult. Also, there are a TON of jerks who live here. I'm friends with people in 3 other apartments across the complex, and they ALL have complaints (as do I), from people harassing and catcalling from their balcony, to shouting in the hallways, to furious running noises from upstairs in the dead of night. I really wish I could walk home from my friend's place without being afraid some gross dude and his friends are going to yell at me from the safety of their apartment.
If there was a zero star that would be to generous, since their new management nothing gets done for months, their online payment takes the money and sends it back saying "nsf" when I had plenty. They wont tell you that until a week later and charge you a week of late fees and NSF fees. I've never been more excited to leave a place before and feel sorry for those still stuck in leases and choose to ignore this review. Absolute garbage management, shouldnt be legal the way they treat tenants. Initially they were nice but why wouldnt they be at first. DO NOT rent here.
My wife and I lived at Plantation from August 2015-May 2016 and thoroughly enjoyed it. The front office staff was fantastic, always willing to help out with any questions we had. The maintenance crew was great too, very quick and very personable. The apartments themselves were very nice, we had a unit by the pool and it was really convenient to walk downstairs and go lay out to get some sun. The gym was also pretty nice, it had everything one would need to get a good workout. Unfortunately, we had to move out of Plant City, but if we had to do it again, we would move to Plantation in a heartbeat!
I loved it here! Lived here twice and each time I had very good experiences. My apartment was quiet and spacious for a one bedroom. I had very good experiences with all of the staff and the apartment as well. Both of my units were 1 bedrooms, and I lived here when it was still called Hunters Ridge. I had a unique circumstance and had to move out early, and the management staff were extremely accommodating and helpful. I loved my little apartment home and would highly recommend these apartments to anyone. They are quiet, very affordable, and the wood-like floors were great. It feels like you are living in the woods, and they keep the grounds pretty clean. The staff are great and friendly and I never had any problems with neighbors or trash. Met a lot of great people at the pool in the short time I lived there and miss them all :)
I only gave a one star rating because 1/2 star was not available, some units have been poorly remodeled, the remaining units are horribly outdated, 1980's appliances, old carpet, moldy windows, mold and mildew in washer/dryer storage area's, rusty bath room fixtures, extra thick paint that is peeling/chipping, apartment constantly has a moldy smell, everything leaks, litter throughout the parking area's, including condoms, food wrappers etc. thin apartment walls, neighbors cigarette smoke seeps down into adjoining apartments, absolutely not worth the expensive rent.
These apartments are quite and nice. Simple and humble. Good neighbors, pet friendly, gated, its a good place to call home.
