The City of Monrovia provides a small-town charm in a big way. Nestled at the foot of the San Gabriel Mountains, the town is approximately 23 miles east of Downtown Los Angeles off Interstate 210. Often attracting movie crews, the homey feel and community kindness score high with those who visit.

Cold pool, 72 degrees at 3pm.

They claimed pool is 80 degrees but was cold to the touch from day 1. A pool thermometer shows 72 degrees at 3pm today. Complaints about the cold pool are left to a mysterious pool company to address. Had I known, I would not have paid luxury apartment prices.

After we spoke, I contacted our pool vendor to take a look at the heater, as the pool should be right around 80 degrees. The heater should be working to get the pool back up to where it needs to be and our vendor is going to continue checking on it when they are at our community. Beautiful building and warm, welcome staff!

The Paragon complex is a beautiful apartment building in Old Town Monrovia. My husband and I were looking for a short term rental and only a handful of places offer that in the area. From the moment my husband and I stepped foot into the Paragon complex, we were greeted by such a warm and wonderful staff. Freddy gave us the tour of the grounds. We were immediately impressed by his professionalism and he was able to answer all of our questions so thoroughly and with a warm smile. During the leasing process, Kevin, the leasing consultant was quick to respond to us and since then has made our move in very smooth and is always so personable! Diana, the community manager was always available when I needed help or had any questions. I had a minor issue - toilet paper holder missing - and literally 30 minutes after I submitted the maintenance request, I hear a knock on my door. It was Johnny, one of the maintenance staff. Let’s talk about the grounds. The central courtyard area with the pool is so beautiful with the lush plants. I constantly see the crew cleaning the hallways. Both the clubhouse and gym area is very clean and immaculate. Since moving here, we’ve found that it’s very quiet, clean and safe complex. Safety was key since we have two young kids. The entire staff with their warm welcome and genuine enthusiasm is what really separated our visit to Paragon from anywhere else. If you’re searching for a place that feels like home from the moment you step through the door, then look no further!!

Happy resident

Having lived at Paragon for now 5 years I can honestly say the team goes above and beyond to meet our needs. Diana, Kevin, Freddy are welcoming when I stop by to grab cup of coffee as I head out to work. Willie and Lloni always complete service requests in a timely manner. Can’t see why I wouldn’t renew for another year!

Great Neighborhood, small town feel

Having recently relocated from Southern Oregon, finding the Paragon Sequoia was like finding the same small town feeling of Ashland. Located at the entry to Old Town Monrovia, this apartment has a great livability opportunity. We are located within a short walk to dozens of restaurants, our bank, our doctor and many other businesses. Old Town has a real sense of community too. Every Friday evening the market is literally at our front door. It is just a short walk to the Metro rail line. The apartments and the grounds too are beautiful. Extremely well maintained. The staff is extremely helpful and willing to respond to any concerns or questions we might have. In short, we are extremely happy we found this facility that has a small town feel within the overall Los Angeles metropolis.

Poor service

Move in date was the 5th but All keys are not available until 15th. Only got the unit key. They gave us temporary key fob to move in. Poor Service.

Great place to live!

I have lived at Paragon for two years and it's great! The staff is always friendly and professional. Paragon has a lot of amenities and it's nice and quiet there.

Great Apartment, Great Staff!

My family and I have been living here for almost a month now, and it has been a great experience throughout this time! Kevin gave us the initial tour when we first were thinking about moving in, and everything that he shared about Paragon being customer first has been true. From the application process to the move-in process to the questions that followed, the entire staff here has provided excellent costumer service every step of the way, and they have also been very responsive to our questions. Our apartment is beautiful and spacious, the property is very well kept, and the maintenance team is friendly and professional. We are extremely happy about our move to Paragon, and we look forward to being here for a very long time!

Wonderful Experience

From initial inquiry, to move in, to enjoying the amenities has been a very pleasant experience. A big thanks to Leasing Consultant Kevin for facilitating a very professional and helpful move-in and providing all the necessary support to enjoy the Paragon at Old Town experience. A great location, very clean and well kept building, gym, pool, hot tub, many nearby restaurants... and a wonderful staff to make your life easy! Highly recommend for your next place to live!

Paragon at Old Town

Paragon at Old Town Monrovia is awesome! Great location, very well maintained. Many thanks to our leasing consultant Kevin Wences for being friendly and professional and explaining everything we will need to know patiently on our first day. We are here while our house is getting renovated and we were pleasantly surprised to find that our one-bedroom apartment is quite spacious! We will highly recommend this apartment complex to our friends and family who might need an apartment short or long term.

Great Place To Live

What a great place to live. I have enjoyed the last six years. From the cleanness of the grounds to the amazing friendly staff (Yasmin, Ken, Chase, Mauricio, Lloni) my experience has been the best. Excellemt place to start at LA

The management team is very thougtful to arrange many activities and upgrades. The security gard walk around at evening keeps us feel safe. Most important, the established neighborhoods and long time resident, give you the American small town feeling with all big city activities around the corner. Great people in town and this apartment.

A great place to live at Monrovia

A great place to live at. The property is well managed, nice court yard, gym and pool. Quiet neiborhood, and nice people.

Loved our time there!

We needed a place to stay while we were living in Monrovia and after doing A LOT of research on homes and other places to rent, we decided on the Paragon at Old Town (Sequoia). The staff were SO helpful and accommodating, the apartment was beautiful, and I loved the large kitchen cabinets and bright and clean spaces. We never heard our neighbors, so I'm assuming the walls are pretty great that way. We spent many days at the pool (which was always warm!) and in the hot tub, and we honestly felt like we were on vacation there because the grounds were so nice! We also loved the tables and chairs in the little common area next to our place--there was always such a quiet, pleasant ambience out there, and I will definitely miss that beautiful bougainvillea arch! We also loved that it is right on myrtle in old town! There were so many great places to eat and visit that were just a short walk away, and the fun friday night farmers market was just out our door! Love love loved our time there!! Only wish we could've stayed longer!

Our new home

We moved into Paragon last week and couldn't be happier. The staff was amazing and helped is every step of the way. The amenities, the cleanliness of the property, and the staff all help us feel at home. I foresee us having a very long term relationship with Paragon.

over-priced

My apartment is located in Old Town Monrovia, and it is pretty new. I live in a two bedroom with my French Bulldog. The walls are very thin and I can hear my neighbors from all sides. It is my home for now so I have learned to not let it disturb me.

Paragon Townhomes

The Paragon Townhouses are well-built full sized homes in Montebello CA. My unit is a three bedroom, three bathroom home. All units have two door garages and full access to a pool and tennis court. It's a nice quiet and comfortable community with very little disturbances. Just 15 minutes away from downtown los angeles and right across the street from the local bowling alley. Also, near Schurr High School which was in USA Today in 2006 as one of the top rated and highest test scores in the country. Also, only minutes away from the hospital and local police department, this gated community is one of the best in the Montebello area.
