valet trash never picked up the trash and we as residence were told to call them ourselves. SERIOIUS ISSUE with the fire alarm, which knocks out the power in certain building when people in wheelchairs are not about to access the stairs. front desk staff under new management treated everyone like we were nothing. No maintenance issues were ever addressed or fixed.
Don’t live here!!! Elevator doesn’t work. Charges for trash pick up but never take it. Whole palace stinks and is unclean. Neighbors are rude and confrontational. Smoke smell leaking in through vent and people stomping. Management doesn’t care at all.
I’ve only lived here for the past 5 months. The apartments match the pictures absolutely gorgeous but there was always a problem with the sink not being able to drain. Called multiple times about pest control there’s ant, roach and another type of insect that I’m not familiar with. We keep our kitchen clean and empty, what’s the point of having food in the apartment if the bugs will get to it first. Then the ac/ heat constantly needed to be fixed also along with the microwave and the kitchen fossett making loud noises and barley any water would come out. Also since I was on the first floor I had a porch everyday someone would let there dog poop right near my back door almost everyday and not pick it up which don’t make any sense the doggie bags and trash can station is not far. Other then that the apartment was fine.

I would not recommend to live here. Building 5000 always stinks when you exit or enter the building, and the apartments are done cheaply.

The staff here is very nice, they make living in an apartment lovely. They are knowledgeable as well as speedy when it comes to responding via email or phone. I love that they do community things like have food trucks and do pumpkin painting contests. There is also a wide variety of amenities to use here on the property that are kept up with!

I fell in love with the place as soon as I saw it. I loved everything about it aesthetic wise and absolutely loved the layout of our actual apartment. The staff have been super nice and helpful with everything. Moving in was easy and went smoothly. And also I love the convince of having an amazon hub here.

Very lovley staff. Prompt. Cares alot.
I wouldn't choose to live here, if i could have broken my lease then i would have already done so. This place is beautiful at first glance but not all that glitters is gold.
The office staff/ management is very rude and unprofessional. They act as if they are above you and don’t want to assist. They only care about getting new residents. You pay for pest control and there’s always spiders and palmetto bugs. They have not throughly cleaned the breezeways in the two years they have been opened. They paint over the exterior walls, but do not maintain the carpet that’s outside the doors on upper levels or the stairs. It smells like dogs and trash. There is not enough parking for residents. You may be risking your car getting stolen or broken in to if it’s not in eye sight. Not a place to live if you have children. You get the run around with packages. They don’t allow you to use the “great” amenities to host parties. To say that you pay so much money it’s not worth it once you walk outside your doors.
Ok average apartment. Some residnents in my opionon should not be there. Alot if expensive trash fees and rules that make the trash process usless. People throwing their garbave outside your door and funed for it and drug policy people are smoking outside aeed and i have horrible allergic reaction to pot. It would come in my airvents and cause me to break out
I moved into the apartment complex when it first opened. The first year of living there was fine so the time my lease was up I opted to renew go another 12 months. This was a huge mistake. Between management changes both the property and new residents, it has gotten progressively worse. There have been a countless number of auto thefts/break-ins, domestic violence, and noise complaints. Also with excessive mold in the bathrooms and overall cleanliness of the property you would think they would be a bit more inclined to fix it quickly yet it took multiple complaints to have someone come to my unit and address the issue. I would not reccomend Palmetto Exchange.
Palmetto Exchange was very accommodating to our needs as students at Charleston Southern Univ. The leasing staff and maintenance people were extremely helpful in making the transition into this new complex! I'm so looking forward to being part of this community.
I have been a resident for over a year and a half now and my experience leaves a lot to be desired. I'm not happy. Management when we first moved in was incredible but now it's impossible to get a hold of anyone and issues are not addressed. We were told there would be amenities added when we moved in (security gates/masseuse/fire pit) that we still have yet to see. The front looks nice but that's it. Look behind the 5000 building and you see the true colors of this place.

I can honestly say this is one of the best Apartment Complexes I've ever had the pleasure of visiting. There are hundreds of places to live in Charleston but this one is definitely top of the list. The property is gorgeous, the amenities ate plentiful, the staff is like family. I'm excited that i get to live here!
I moved into my apartment almost a year ago and it was ok. Now parking is full all the time and people just park in random places. Cleaning is not the best, I’ve seen a broken trash bag in the entrance of the building for over two weeks before they cleaned it. When they do clean the use a SUPER LOUD blower to clean the passageways and with the echo it’s even louder. With the new management company there’s no online payment option, only checks and money orders to the main office which is very inconvenient for military with shift work. I do not recommend this place, especially for NNPTC or NPTU students.
I just moved in my apartment. Love it! Great location. Pool hours close way too early. Domestic violence issues and tenants outside my building arguing. The staff is extremely unprofessional. Hope new buyers come in and wipe management out of office. Palmetto Exchange needs new qualify customer oriented with superior customer service in their office.
Staff is great and the neighbors are great. The gym is very nice.
