South Nashville is a sprawling district covering just over 15 square miles. The community extends from the southern edge of Downtown Nashville to the Nashville Zoo at Grassmere. South Nashville contains an array of diverse, established communities, including Wedgewood-Houston, Woodycrest, Woodbine, Hill-n-Dale, Radnor, Raymond Heights, Patricia Heights, Napier, Glencliff, Glencliff Estates, and Chestnut Hill.
The rental options are just as diverse as the region itself, with plenty of apartments, condos, townhomes, and houses available for rent in every style and budget. Residents often choose this area for its largely affordable rent prices and its central location. Commuting and traveling is simple with access to several major highways and Nashville International Airport.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Emergency line for apartment not working currently and the air conditioning has stopped workin properly second time in 3 days. Save your money
Constant repairs needed because the problems are never fixed, just patched for the moment. My windows are so dirty I cannot see out of them, when they clean gutters, the dirt runs down the outside of building and is never cleaned up! Windows and entrance to building has not been cleaned in 4 and 1/2 years . Leaking from upstairs in bath, ceiling stays, wet, mold and discolored, they do not repair, they patch and in 2 weeks its back again. Drive and parking area has huge pot holes, not even attempted to repair. The renter seems to have no value or voice complaints are passive/aggressive when addressed. Its unpleasant and frustrating Don't move here unless there is no where else to go. The pricing increases and the care and service decreases.
The security gate does not work---ever. The pool was not open for the whole year because they could not afford the supplies. There are no parking spaces because apartments have 4 to5 cars. Some apts. have 10 people living in them. At night, residents are outside in the parking areas drinking ----To the early morning hours. You can hear people in the apartment over me talking: They have kids upstairs playing basketball all day long--- Management won't help with the daycare center. Stay away from this place!
There is constantly loud music playing, other renters smoke in the building and leave ciggarete butts in the hallways, things are constantly breaking, the workers in the front office are rude and unresponsive. I cannot wait to move.
Property Manager at Overton Brentwood, Responded To This Review
We regret to hear that you had a negative experience with us, but would appreciate the chance to turn your experience around. We would really like to speak with you more regarding this matter. Please reach out to us and we look forward to hearing from you.
There are no parking spaces. The paint peels and there’s constantly things breaking down in my apartment. I called maintenance and none of them spoke English to communicate with me. Im a girl and I was home alone one time when the maintenance men walked in without even knocking! They unlocked my apartment and brought some of their friends too! I’ve complained multiple times to the office and they don’t do a thing about it. They blame it on me. When I brought up the fact that I had to walk all the way across the complex at night because there are no spaces they again blamed it on me and when I brought to their attention there were over 50 cars WITHOUT parking passes they didn’t even care. I’m sick of living here and I cannot wait until my lease is up. It’s horribly ran and the apartments are falling apart. Their pictures on the website is false advertising.
Friendly neighbors and great facilities. The staff has been good and responsive to requests.
