Property Ratings at Overlook at RiverPlace
I've lived at Overlook almost a year now and have been very pleased so far with property management, property amenities, property security and property location. With a home in downtown Wilmington with a view of the Cape Fear River and just steps away from all that our Historic Downtown has to offer, including a parking spot, at a fair price with management taking care of issues in a timely fashion included, you too will be happy. Did I mention the rooftop pool and gym?

I am new to Wilmington and to North Carolina. I look for a good location / clean and functional space / pool / amenities / positive Management group. I have found all of the above and more in Overlook at River Place. I would keep this property on your search list and make an appointment. My puppy and I moved in this week and we are comfortable and happy and have a very nice view! Enjoy!

Overlook isn't the fanciest interior compared to the other apartments along the riverwalk. However, you cannot beat the view from the rooftop that has a pool and hot tub. In addition to this, the location is so perfect. It's within walking distance to all of the restaurants/bars versus the other locations which are further down and well if you're drunk I would not recommend walking that far out especially along. Whereas Overlook is an easy walk to everything. In addition, it's great area for dogs and the people that live in the building are so kind and pleasant.
Probably the worst place to live in Wilmington. Built so shoddily that every apartment is being torn apart only months after being done. The hallways are filled with plaster dust and debris, the elevators are always in use by construction workers. None of them wear masks, even when they’re 2 feet away in an elevator. The construction noise is constant, the dirt is everywhere. In the 3 months we have lived here, the water has been shut off repeatedly, the “amenities” have broken down, and worst of all, the management is completely unwilling to do anything, about any of this. There are plenty of great places to live in Wilmington, this just is not one of those. Don’t buy here. Don’t rent here. You’ll regret it.
