Less than ten miles south of Portland along the Willamette River, Lake Oswego is suburban community characterized by lush greenery and a first-rate personality all its own. The local school district has been recognized as among the best in the nation, the crime rate is low, and the League of American Bicyclists has named Lake Oswego one of the most bike-friendly communities in Oregon (which is saying something).
The lake itself is surrounded by gorgeous homes and old-growth evergreens, and large parks and nature preserves are never far away. The area closer to the river is a nice mix of homes and small businesses (cafes, shops, nightlife) in a highly walkable configuration, and trolley service to Portland is available from the Oak Grove Station on State Street.

Property Ratings at Oswego Pointe
So the tour was great, I loved the spaces, layout, location, and quality of the amenities. All was great until after the tour ended and I was talking about how it is to live in the apartments. They told me that the indoor pool was closed 2 1/2 years ago and the administration has had no plans to reopen it because the roof needs to be replaced. There are no plans to replace the roof because the corporation who owns it just wants to make as much money as they can without putting any back in to maintaining it. So the lady who gave the tour completely lied to me. That indoor pool is very important for most of the year here in Oregon. They have an outdoor pool but due to the weather, it is not very practical for 8 months out of the year.

My gold earring fell into drain in the bathroom sink. The maintenance department responded quickly and retrieved the earring! I love living here and find the staff pleasant and responsive.

This place is a good spot, its an easy drive to south Portland, tons of places around to eat, decent space to live as far as the actual apartments. However, the management behind this place is not very accommodating when it comes to how often their amenities are broke, closed or not available. their sauna is more broke then not, they have a hot tub which is broken every other week, with no explanation why. During Covid a major part of their living space was closed, but we as renters got no discount, part of the appeal of an apartment complex is the amenities, and theres not many amenities that are consistently open without issues or problems.
As soon as I drove in I could see this was a nice spot. Lovely gardens, cute windy road. Francine was wonderful, gave my son and me a tour of the place and we loved it. Looking forwar to our new home.
Your place will NOT look like the demo apartment they show you. Old look, cheap fixtures and appliances. Reminds of your grandma's run-down time share. And management is always in your business.
I only live here because of the location. The management is the worst, my place is old, not updated and over priced. There is a nice guy in the office, and a rude, unhelpful woman. If I find something else, I will move.
This complex is in a good spot in a great town. The list of pros ends there. Tenants formed their own informal renters association because talking to management is akin to removing your own tongue with pliers.
We’ve only lived here for a few weeks but so far I am SO grateful that we picked Oswego Pointe Apartments to move to! First of all, we love the layout of the apartments! It’s been perfect for a work-from-home set-up, and feels VERY spacious and cozy during a time when one’s home is so important. There’s plenty of storage, and everything about the apartment just makes sense. The office has been fantastic as well, especially with all of my questions and emails. I’ve been especially impressed by the professionalism of everyone in the office - it feels like they really go the extra mile. The maintenance team is great too - they quickly resolved all of the work items we had in a single visit! They’re also taking extra precautions during this difficult time, which is appreciated as well. Last but not least, the location! Being so close to the trail along the river is really special, and we’re also a short walk to a bunch of shops, supermarkets and restaurants. I seriously can’t believe an apartment complex like this exists. The complex itself is so peaceful and quiet - most of the time the only noise I can hear outside are birds. The only minor things worth noting - the apartments are a little bit older and you can occasionally hear neighbors upstairs if you’re on the first floor. But it’s apartment living so I expected these things, and they’re not a problem for me. All in all, Oswego Pointe is wonderful and I am very happy to live here!

We have lived here for about 6 months and continue to fall in love with our apartment, the community, and the great service that we receive from the management here, especially Katelyn. The management truly cares and goes out of their way to provide an excellent experience.

Thank you, Mike! We can't tell you how very much we appreciate you taking the time to share your wonderful Oswego Pointe experience. We're lucky to have you & your kind words truly mean the world to us!
We’ve bopped around to a number of different apartments, but haven’t found a place we’ve wanted to stay long-term until we came to Oswego Pointe. This is the first time we’ve moved to a place that actually felt like a community, as opposed to a place to store our stuff. We actually know our neighbors and say hi to them every day. We love the people who work at the leasing office and our dog is absolutely obsessed with them. He gets excited when I say, “want to see your friends at the leasing office?” Working at home, having the strong community feel is huge! I can simply take breaks to walk around the complex and get the energy boost I need. Not to mention that Oswego Pointe hugs downtown on one side and the river on the other. We can walk less than 2 minutes and be on a riverside path that people drive long distances to get to. We can also walk to a number of Downtown bars and restaurants without ever needing our cars. It’s not often you find a place that’s both beautiful and friendly. Our dog even looks forward to seeing the maintenance guy, usually less than 24 hours after I’ve even submitted the request. We didn’t really have any expectations when moving here (I mean, how many people have actually had great apartment experiences?), but now we’re hoping to stay as long as we can. A prime spot in Lake Oswego, paired with nice residents, great management, and a beautiful view. I think we’ll be hard pressed to find anything better in the future. Did I mention they have a free community breakfast every Saturday?
SO disappointed with management at Oswego Point. I've been disputing a charge since February. Before I moved out I was told (by Amanda the new manager) it was being taken care of. Just getting an email from Anastasia (the asst. Manager) saying it's not. Customer Service DOES NOT EXIST here. Get it together!!! Be aware that utilities will run you around $200 every month regardless of what they say. Do not take anyones word here.

I am surprised that Oswego Pointe has not been shut down by the Oregon Department of Health. When I first moved into my first apartment at Oswego Pointe, I realized that it was invested with flees. I realized this problem by getting bitten by the flees. Months later my apartment was smelling musty. I found black mold under my sink. I informed the leasing office to which they wiped down the mold with bleach, and did nothing to mitigate the problem to determine where the mold was coming from.I became increasingly sick due to the black mold, which led to a severe sinus infection lasting over a month. At his time, Oswego Pointe moved me into a different unit. The day after I moved into the new apartment, it came to my attention that it was infested with ants. I informed the leasing office, and they provided two ant traps, which did nothing to mitigate the problem. Talking to the neighbors, it was evident that the entire building was infested with ants. The problem became so severe that I could not longer keep food in my pantry because ants would get into it. I could not use by kitchen because of dozens of ants on my counter. I lost track of how many times I called and emailed Oswego Pointe asking them to fix the problem, to which they did nothing. In one particular phone call with a leasing agent, it came to my attention that they where well aware of the ant problem prior to allowing me to move in. I had concluded that Oswego Pointe had constructively evicted me and I broke my lease and moved out. Prime Group and Oswego Pointe are don't see their residence as people but only as money. They rely on renters being happy enough with the location to be complacent with the unhealthy and dangerous conditions. Rather than fixing their crumbling, molding and ant infested buildings, when renters move out, the company releases the units as soon as they can. I would strongly urge the City of Lake Oswego to investigate.
Absolutely the worst apartment or living situation I have ever been in. Clogged drains(not able to be unclogged with liquid plummer), broken disposal, smoke coming from people below us, and broken dryer! Need I go on!!! And we just moved in! Management is horrible! Maintenance overloaded with all the needs around here that it takes them forever.
Do not rent here. Junk, place, no upkeep. Poor office managers who lie and won't admit that they are wrong. Very dark buildings piled on top of each other. Moss over everthing and no upkeep.
