The coastal town of Oceanside rests about halfway between Anaheim and San Diego. Oceanside, which locals affectionately refer to as O’side, borders the Marine Corps Base Camp Pendelton to the north as well as Carlsbad and Legoland to the south.
The ocean plays a large role in O’side life. Whale watching from a boat, fishing off the Oceanside Pier, and swimming at Harbor Beach are all O’side staples. Surfing is also a major draw, with the California Surf Museum located in town. Should you tire of the ocean, Anza-Borrego Desert State Park is less than a two-hour drive away.
Cultural amenities abound in O’side, with Mission San Luis Rey, Oceanside Museum of Art, and the Star Theatre all within city limits. Hikers take to the trails in Guajome Regional Park and bikers to the San Luis Rey River Trail. Golfers practice their swings at Oceanside and Arrowood Golf Courses.

Property Ratings at Ocean View Terrace Apartments
Any positive review of this place must be friends with Claire and her husband. He takes a passive role in “managing the property”. More like policing the property. Claire clearly wears the pants. The rent is high as the previous reviewer is saying. They raise the rent every lease term SIGNIFICANTLY. Claire gives you a choice. Go month to month and pay at least $250 more each month than you paid last year (l thought you could only raise the rent 10 percent a year?). Or sign another year lease and pay at least $100 more each month than you were paying on the previous lease. Read the Yelp reviews and pay attention to the honest reviews. They are just that! Claire left a note on everyone’s doors recently. “If you clog your own toilet you pay for the plumber”. Really? Do I own or rent? The issue is the pipes are cast iron. Very old and prone to clogging. You see a plumber here a lot. All of my neighbors say their toilets have clogged at least twice. No fault of their own due to the old outdated pipes. Claire ignores the laws on a routine basis and just does whatever she wants to intimidate tenants. I often think to myself. Who does she think she is? She’s simply a property manager with very likely little if none higher education and is a bully. I would advise anyone not to rent here not because of the property. But because of the way Claire and her husband run the place. Disgraceful. Disgusting
Come this March will make three wonderful years I have lived in my two bd two bath unit here at Oceanview Terrace. The units are spacious, light, comfortable and quiet not to mention more than reasonable priced. The management and maintenance team have always been attentive to any need or concern and work daily on maintaining this beautiful property. Landscape and facilities are meticulously maintained. As a single mom I love living here with my small family and hope to be a resident for many years to come.
My apartment complex is great. I would say that it's perfect if I could own a dog here. We have assigned parking, I live near the pool and the complex is 5 minutes from the ocean. It's very quiet and peaceful here and we feel safe. Honestly, I wouldn't normally write a review because I don't want a lot of people to find out about this place, but my wife wanted to enter the contest.
I have 3kids with my husband living in 1bedroom 1bathroom only, I wish I could win and so we're going move in other place house, and we can't afford the rent here
