I regretfully rented at this location. I regret making the decision. Shortly after moving in I began feeling sick. I experienced severe fatigue and began coughing every time I was in the unit. My eyes would burn constantly while in the unit. It escalated until I couldn't sleep in the unit. I began being seen by a doctor who told me to check the unit for mold. I checked but found none. My health continued to worsen until I had an inspection done behind the appliances. Behind the dishwasher they found extensive black mold that had grown for so long it penetrated the studs of the walls and had spread throughout the walls. I immediately knew why I was so sick and left this miserable health risk in the dust. I do not recommend this poorly managed complex to anyone out there period.
Maintenance is sub-par and you have to call them over and over and over and they still don't fix the problem (very unknowledgeable or just lazy) and management could care less. It's a shame because it could be a great community if management/maintenance were about more than just collecting rent.
No seriously, do yourself a favor and live somewhere else. Unless you’re looking to waste money on a combination of “luxury and convenience” that does not exist. What once was convenient is no longer and has never been “luxury” ever. There are literally zero amenities in the complex that qualify as luxury. There is a poorly maintained tennis court not often used for such. Emergency maintenance Is difficult to get to respond over night. The office staff is one of the worst staffs I’ve ever dealt with, they’re aren’t great at keeping documentation, but are polite. Be prepared to deal with corporate and get no where unless you’re willing to call local news stations to air grievances.
It doesn't matter what I write, they'll just remove it anyway like they did my last one. The location is good, the area is relatively safe, but the apartments are overpriced and outdated. Management is awful. Huge rent increases. No ammenities. Terrible customer service. The sad part of it all is they're sitting on a gold mine. They could charge a lot more if they just updated.
We moved here a few months and have had no issues. We love having a balcony and more space. Reasonable pricing for the size of the apartment. I wouldn’t have chosen a different place. Management may not be perfect and no place always is but we haven’t had any issues. We finally feel at here!
good location, lots of space for the price. everything is outdated, there is NO PARKING. expect to park far and walk. management is HORRIBLE. they are money hungry and do not care about their residents. Management before them used to be way better. couldn’t wait to get out of my lease
The apartment complex is laid out nicely. They maintain the grounds well. The down-side is that with the exception of tennis courts, there are no amenities. Looking in neighboring communities, there are several apartments in this price range that have pools, playgrounds, workout rooms and great rooms available for tenant use for parties. They also have a contract with Cox cable as the only cable service on site. They do allow satellite, if you face the right direction. I feel the property is just average and over-priced for what you get in return for your dollar.
Being disabled and not wanting to get into the elderly apartment scene, I found this great complex. There are a combination of two story buildings and ranch style units. Although there are over 20 buildings, the grounds are a beautifully maintained park-like area and every apartment has a patio or balcony. The staff has been spot-on when any questions arise and always offering assistance. Close to the freeway for convenience but not too close to hear the noise. A major shopping/entertainment area is just two miles away. Its great sitting out at night and listening to the crickets and frogs. A wonderful place to live!
Oakwood Apartments is a great place to be. For the amount of space you get compared to the rent, it's definitely super worth it. My neighbors are really friendly and I rarely hear them. Everything is pretty well maintained from the roads and lots to the units themselves. Overall, I would recommend this apartment complex.
