Property Ratings at Oaks of Kyle Apartments
Been here since the place was built 5 years ago. Interior looks nice and modern but construction is shotty. Multiple sink issues since I have moved in even though complex is only 5 years old. You can literally hear the toilet waste from upstairs flowing through the pipes in your walls when a toilet is flushed upstairs. Gross! Vehicles are constantly broken into, and stolen even. My vehicle was stolen from this complex and my packages are constantly stolen. People get shot for drug deals gone bad. Look up oaks of Kyle shooting. Complex continues to age and nothing is added, and in some cases things are removed, yet rent increases outrageously every year. This place used to do so much to make sure tenants felt the value from their monthly rent with free meals and other events that gave more than just candy. The railroad and highway are close enough that constant 3 AM train horns and sirens blare into your apartment. Most amenities have constant issues and literally all of the gates are broken constantly. Random intrusions constantly with no warning other then, "oh we will be there sometime randomly on one of like 5 days." No planning with tenants whatsoever. The one saving grace used to be that management would hear your issues at the least, and acknowledge that there is a problem, and at least act like they were going to try and help you. The new property manager here is insincere, condescending, will not acknowledge any concerns, and takes every complaint on the complex personal as if I am saying it is all her fault. All in all, this place is definitely not worth the outrageously high rent and I would steer clear of I were you. There are much cheaper places available in Kyle, but unfortunately moving is more expensive than staying at this point for me.

The location is good. The property looks good. Parking is a nightmare for the buildings up front. Rent is frankly too high, and the online convenience fee makes it worse. For first-time renters, we would rate it about a 6/10.

Currently two months into our lease at Oaks of Kyle and it keeps getting better. It really boils down to attitude and the attitude of the staff is enjoyable, friendly, and encouraging.

Our experience at the Oaks of Kyle has been very good . We have enjoyed the patio and barbecue area. We enjoyed the pool area. We also have made use of the fitness room. It has been so nice living here that we renewed our lease.

Same as I've been saying - Everything is great outside of the bugs. But it's not worth how much I'm paying per month to have to deal with that. I don't open my storage unit very often... I can only imagine how many spiders are in there going through my stuff... Yuck!
