Have been living here for almost a year now and haven’t had any issues. Maintenance is pretty quick and what you see online is what you get.

I would give negative stars if I could. I am a resident of the this apartment and living here from last 4 years. Last year they started giving away free trash cans and said that it will Will be a valet trash service. Than I realized that they are charging us for that service which I don't even need. And the dumpster is right across the street. Now I cannot reject this service. I have to pay extra money. The trash can which was given is worst, I would say the public toilet is better than that. The guys who come to take the trash they are throwing the trash in the dumpster right across the street. Also this apartment is not a old age home where people can't walk. They could have ask if we want to sign up for this or not. If you want to renew your lease without increasing your rent you'll have to renew your lease for 14 months not 12. There are a lot of good apartments around the area don't even think of leasing with this stupid apartment.

Hello, we regret to hear that your experience with us was not a more positive one. Our community manager would really like to speak with you about this. Please contact us at oakhillmgr@greystar.com as soon as you've got a moment. We look forward to hearing from you.
We moved into Oakhill Apartments almost 3 years ago and loved our time living here up until recently. One of the things we loved about Oakhill when we moved in was that they weren’t like every other apartment complex. They seemed to care about their current residents by offering loyalty perks allowing residents to break there lease without penalty if they have lived here for longer than 2 years. Also, they didn’t nickel and dime you like other apartments complexes. Recently Oakhill changed ownership to Gray Star and everything has changed. They no longer care about any of there current residents, they have removed all loyalty perks, raised rent prices, and charged new fees. They also included a piece of paper in the lease rental letter detailing how expensive it would be to leave their apartment complex. This letter came across very insulting with the new management basically saying, “we know were charging you more money but look at how expensive it is to leave us so just resign your lease.” After speaking with workers in the office who also live in the complex and were affected by the new management it is clear that both their concerns and the concerns of the people who live here have fallen on deaf ears from both Gray Star and Dart Properties. Like many of the residents we will be moving out of Oakhill as soon as we are able, and I strongly encourage anyone searching for an apartment to look elsewhere until Oak Hill apartments changes there management directions.

We are saddened to hear that you are unhappy with our community policies and cost of living. We are constantly checking the market to ensure our costs and policies are extremely competitive. Feel free to contact the office if you wish to discuss any further.
Didn’t have any issues until a month ago, probably because I never had to reach out for assistance until recently. The communication at this complex is the absolute worst, they do not answer or return calls or emails and you can never get ahold of anyone at the office. You know that if they needed something from you such as a rent payment, you would hear immediately. Apartments are very nice, but very small and overpriced. Only good thing is the maintence team who is always on top of their stuff, come out almost immediately to take care of issues. In addition, there are a lot of bugs, had to have Orkin come out a few times to spray. If you are someone who commonly needs assistance or just anyone in general who gets annoyed when someone doesn’t respond, I would not advise moving here. We will be leaving at the end of January when our year is up.

We apologize that you had issues reaching our staff. We try our best to answer every call and email as it comes in, or at least respond back by the next business day. I am very happy to hear you have had such an excellent experience with our maintenance staff; they truly are top notch!
I am in my 2nd year living here. They have recently switched to greystar as a managing company and its a nightmare. You can't pay your rent online anymore and they don't answer the phone or call you back. They are rude and scheduled a maintenance on the website the entire week rent was due. So everyone had to come to the office to pay rent on time. They still charged a late fee if you were late!! Now I still can't pay online because it now says my email account is invalid. Don't move here. Seriously I live here and I can't wait to move. So many people are no longer happy here since the management changed

We are sorry you had issues with the online payment portal. Unfortunately, the site was undergoing maintenance that was outside of our control. Our policy is and always has been that rent is due on the first but we also give a 5 day grace period to avoid any late fees. We would be happy to help you with any set up issues you are having with your online portal, just let us know.
The apartments are excellent, very clean! What I enjoyed the most was its friendly staff. LeAnne was an excellent guide thru all my questions and make me feel at home since the first day. I really recommend this place.

Since the pandemic, most people work from home these days. Some people managed by getting a puppy, which I think is great! But, I live in a NO DOG building - per the signed lease agreement. There are designated dog buildings, which is fine. But the building I live in is a no dog building, and I bet you can figure out where I am going with this. My neighbor directly across from me got a puppy. That's fine and all, until I realized it is 100% not a service dog. It is a PUPPY. It barks all day when the owners leave. It interrupts my work DAILY. If it was a service dog, it would not bark. It would go with its owner, so the barking issue would become moot. The owners even leave the dog poop bags on the walkway. The walkway I have to cross to leave and get into my apartment. I filed a noise complaint and noted all of the above about a month ago. To this day, it is not corrected. I Keep asking for updates - nothing. No corrections!! Nothing done at all. I get that it is the pandemic and all, but this is ridiculous. I am on client calls all day and the barking is loud enough to carry over and be heard in the calls. It is extremely frustrating and the client always ask about it and wondering what dog I have. I just think if we live in a no dog building, don't get a dog unless it is a service dog and CLEAR it with management. Other than that, property overall is okay. The roads have pot holes and don't get fixed often, and when they do the pot hole comes back in 2 days. The gate is not effective at all because most of the time it is out of order and up. The apartment itself is okay. When I moved in the carpet wasn't in the best condition - it was not flat on the ground and had some bumps. The appliances were new when I moved in.
