About Nueces Lofts
Construido en 1928. 64 apartamentos tipo loft recientemente convertidos en el histórico edificio Nueces Building ubicado en la hermosa Peoples Street, en Chaparral. There’s not many places to live downtown with such beautiful views. I love the style of the lofts and the extra space our rooms have. Wouldn’t be able to live how I do all over town without this unique spot.
I absolutely love living in this apartment! The downtown ocean views are truly stunning — I get to wake up to a skyline that meets the water every morning, and the sunsets are nothing short of magical. The industrial-style concrete floors give the space a modern, clean feel, and are super easy to maintain. Beyond the aesthetics, what really makes this place special is the community. Everyone here — from neighbors to staff — is incredibly friendly, respectful, and welcoming. It feels like more than just an apartment building; it feels like a supportive, peaceful community in the heart of the city. The building itself is quiet, well-maintained, and secure. Packages are safe, maintenance is prompt, and the amenities are thoughtfully maintained. Whether it’s the natural light that floods my unit, the walkability to restaurants and cafes, or the sense of calm I feel here, I’m honestly so grateful to call this place home. If you're looking for a beautiful space with both style and heart — this is it.
Living in the Nueces Lofts is such a dream. The staff make me feel so at home despite being far from family. Maintenance is always quick to respond. The location is perfect and central. I couldn’t ask for a better community!
This place checks every box for me. The views of the ocean and downtown are unreal — it honestly feels like I'm living in a postcard. The concrete floors are such a nice touch; they look sleek and make the whole space feel clean and modern. One of my favorite things, though, is the vibe. Everyone in the building is kind and laid-back, and it really feels like a community, not just a place where people happen to live. It’s quiet, safe, and super close to everything I need. Great location, great people, and a space I genuinely love coming home to. What more can you ask for?
I absolutely love living down town at nueces lofts. I initially was in central corpus and once I moved here I became apart of really cool community. Everyone is so friendly and whether it is getting coffee downstairs at community grocery or doing art walk with a friend moving down town has changed everything! The management is great and any time I have needed help, even just moving a large package, they have been there. The apartment I have has amazing ocean views and really cool concrete floors. I have recommended this place to a few friends and I think they will move in soon.
I have amazing ocean views and I never thought I would love living in corpus so much. The modern concrete floors and high ceilings really make this place unique and I feel like it was a great backdrop to make my home look like me. The maintenance staff and management are great, and the building is very clean. I moved in after they had to do elevator repairs about a year ago but ever since I have never had an issue. A new added bonus is the grocery store / lunch spot that opened on the ground floor. It is the perfect place to work in the morning or get a really good sandwich or bowl of ramen from. There is also a fun bike shop. Such great community I dont ever want to leave!
Wow!!! If you are looking for a great place downtown corpus this is the SPOT. It is walking distance to great restaurants/bars. A bike shop and grocery store are located below on ground level. The staff are super friendly and helpful. I recommend 10/10 when apt shopping.
I drove down 7 hours from North Texas to tour Nueces Lofts & was greeted by closed doors. I had a Friday 2pm appointment and when I showed up on time & unfortunately no one was there. Stuck around for hours in hopes that they were just out for lunch or something, but nothing. A waste of my time & very unprofessional. I'd tour other apartments. If this is how they treat their potential future guests, I don't want to know how their current guests are treated.

Hi we apologize this was your experience when coming to tour with us. At the time of your tour we gave you multiple calls and I am afraid that maybe you were at the wrong door waiting for us. We take security very seriously so all doors remained locked so people are not able to wonder into the building. Please feel free to give us a call if you would ever like to come back we would love to make it up to you.
If you like incompetent management, mold, loud noise and bugs. The Nueces Lofts is the place for you. Moved in in August. The manger allowed me to sign all the papers, while knowing all along the AC was broken. She actually asked me if I could wait to move my large items in, as the maintenance person painted the walls the wrong color. Bathroom full of mold, trash behind the refrigerator, vents filthy. Poor upkeep one day there was a broken glass of some sort with a yellow substance in the lobby entrance. Was there for 48 hours. My 3 month old puppy picked up a piece of glass in his month. I was in #605 the shower leaked for two weeks. water in the hallway. Do not rent here

While we were trying to accommodate your move in date with limited availability there was a miscommunication on when you were able to move in and when the apartment would be ready. For all of our move ins we pride ourselves in giving downtown residents a clean, modern and comfortable place to stay while enjoying Downtown Corpus Christi. Great place to live and full of friendly neighbors. Always something to do downtown. A lot of restaurants and bars in walking distance, super convenient. I enjoyed the years I spent living there!
I currently live here. I regret signing a lease with this place. It’s a dump, I wish I did a better job at looking at the surroundings. First of, the location is great, right in the middle of the entertainment district. Downside is with single pane windows dating from 1928 you can basically hear drunk people conversations at 3 am, it doesn’t filter or block any noise, it also will cost you more then 230$/month in electric even during the cooler months. Not mentioning the live music 3 days a week 10pm-2am from local bars, imagine camping next to a music concert. Our unit is infested with roaches since day one. And we asked other resident and they too have to live with them. It’s disgusting. We have pest control coming once a week and you still have them roaming into your food, they’re everywhere. There’s dog excrements on some of the floors leading to the appartements. The “gated” parking cost 25$/month even when the automatic gate systems haven’t worked in months. There’s only one elevator operational. The other one is apparently broken and never repaired. Our quality of life has seriously taken a hit since moving here, I do not recommend this place to anyone.

We are sorry this was your experience here at Nueces Lofts. Since your review we have began the process of replacing all of the windows in the building. If you ever consider coming back to stay with us you are more than welcome to tour our units with newer windows. To address your concerns both elevators are working, our entire parking lot was just redone, and pest control is maintained and available to any tenant at their request. When it comes to avoiding roaches in corpus and keeping the AC costs down it is dependent on the tenants lifestyle and cleanliness. Living at Nueces Lofts truly offers a modern and lively place to be downtown. We would love to have you back for a tour at anytime so you can see the changes we have made.
If you decide to live here, in my opinion, you are only paying for the downtown location: -Building security is an issue because the front main door is always unlocked and the second door stays unlatched - The property manager takes ownership of the property and takes all comments of the apartment unit of property personally - The property manager's response to feedback is unprofessional and puts the residents in a position of not being able to communicate with the property manager leading to high building turnover - If you ask for your total amount owed for the month it is viewed by the property manager as inconvenience because this information can be found online - Online amount might not be accurate because the water bill for the property will always be wrong. This list of items, in my opinion, are the larger concerns but you will notice the small day to day problems if you decide to live here.
