Property Ratings at Northwood Homes
DO NOT MOVE HERE. I’ve lived here for a few years because previous management was amazing and the price is good for a 2bd townhome in my opinion. In 2021 management changed and the new management is horrible. They have a serious lack of communication and consideration for their residents. The laundry rooms and dumpster areas are absolutely disgusting majority of the time. Trust me, they make it look so nice on the website, but new management does not care about residents here. I wanted to stay here until I buy a house in a couple years because the price is good and the location is central to my job, friends, and a nice amount of shopping driving distance in Towson. Unfortunately, with this new management, I will be leaving when my lease is up. I almost never leave reviews but this new management and the way they do business has irritated me enough to warn others to not waste their time and money here.
When I first saw this apartment complex and toured the open (remodeled) house everything was nice. I was given the price and it seemed reasonable enough. I was under the impression that I'd be in a remodeled house also, but the house I got wasn't which is fine. My issue starts here. The first week of moving in I noticed a lot of bugs from roaches, to spiders, to house flies. A little after that a MOUSE, yes, a MOUSE decided to visit.. it didn't stop there. Within the short time that I've been at this complex I have seen SEVERAL mice. Many complaints have been made to the front office, and yet nothing has been done. I don't think I can stay here another month. When a mouse would get caught in a trap, I'd be left to dispose of it because the front office is of no help. I feel paranoid, because I don't know when another mouse will show up. Living here is a health and mental hazard.

The apartment is not renovated. They staff is very friendly. They try to help when every they can. They also call when there are issues inside of the apartment that you may not be aware of. The biggest issue I encountered was that the air condition is extreme loud. The hot water in the shower is never hot, its usually warm. I have placed several maintenance request for different things and they pick and choice what is really important to them and then fix it. There was water damage that was never fixed after submitting several maintenance request.
I have lived in this apartment complex for a majority of my life. The staff has always been great and I've had some wonderful neighbors. My only problem has been the increase on rent every year. I understand that it has to happen, but I expect a little more effort on managements part as well. Fresh paint, a cleaner look, something that shows that you care about the people who have remained here because they consider it to be their home. A few small adjustments, and maybe others will want to remain here as well instead of moving away.
Northwood Ridge in Baltimore offers 1 to 3 bedroom town homes and apartment units. It is a quiet residential area with easy access to shopping, schools , churches and downtown/ inner harbor Baltimore. Their kind and accommodating staff are a great plus ;along with their clean and manicured grounds. Northwood Ridge apartments and town homes gives a good name to city living.
