With a diverse population and a mix of residential and commercial areas, as well as a large golf course and municipal airport, Greater Salinas supports numerous lifestyles. Set around the small Californian city of Salinas, with rural agricultural areas stretching east and south from the airport, the neighborhood combines urban grit with a small-town feel.
As with many areas of Salinas, the agricultural business plays a major role as an employer in the area. Downtown Salinas lies at the heart of the region, and just five miles from the outer reaches of the area. Within Greater Salinas you’ll find the municipal airport, and a collection of shops, restaurants, neighborhoods, and more.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Northpoint Apartments
I really enjoyed living at Northpoint Apartments. My apartment was remodeled and felt super nice. The kitchen was all brand new, the LVP floors looked great and were easy to keep clean, and the bathroom was big with wall-to-wall granite in the shower which made it feel really upgraded. The place felt clean and comfortable, and I honestly loved coming home every day. The location is convenient and close to everything I needed. Overall, it was a great place to live and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a nice apartment in Salinas.
I've lived in this apartment for a year now and someone keeps stealing our belongings. Someone keeps coming to our doorstep and keeps stealing our stuff. It's unacceptable! There should be more security cameras around the apartments. I also always see random trucks coming to the apartment and dumping their trash into the apartment's dumpsters.
The walls are so thin I could hear every little thing that is happening around me. I can hear people outside working, talk. I can hear my roommates talking. I'm in my room and I can hear people whispering from all the way to the kitchen. The neighbors are so noisy. There's a woman who's always smoking outside, and leaving her cigarettes on the floor.
There's such a bad mold problem in multiple apartments and it's not healthy , they told us not to clean the carpet just so we could get charged when we left. Washers and dryers never work. The price is too high for the quality . We found an apartment that was nice , bigger, gated and cheaper. Don't rent there.
I am fairly happy living here. The neighbors are mostly quiet and the rent is not bad at all. The only thing that I don't like is that each unit does not have its own washer/dryer.
