Northfield

The suburban neighborhood of Northfield has a convenient location between the cities of Cleveland and Akron, located about 20 miles south of the former and north of the latter city. Officially, Northfield lies in the Akron Metropolitan Statistical Area of North Summit County, and about 3,600 residents live in the neighborhood.

Northfield residents smoothly travel to either Cleveland or Akron for work or business, and they benefit from direct roads and public transportation to both. However, Northfield has developed a prospering collection of its own restaurants, stores and entertainment, headlined by Northfield Park's track and casino. The Northfield community continues to grow, and its safe residential areas remain separate from the commercial district, which creates a fitting environment for young families.
