Property Ratings at Norhardt Crossing
Our ‘move in ready’ apartment came without a working furnace, dishwasher or dryer. Took a month to get the last two fixed. Also plumbing issues and multiple other things broken and dirty. The two items (cabinets and bathroom caulk) they assured us would be fixed prior to move in were not fixed until after move in. Their ‘satisfactory compensation’ for our inconvenience was a mere $150. For $100 more you can live in a brand new complex with much better amenities! I will spend the duration of this lease apologizing to my husband and son for my poor decision. Hopefully, this review will save you from being subjected to subpar management and poor move in conditions.
Me, my wife and our daughter just arrive to USA (1 month ago). We moved to the new Norhardt Crossing Apartments Brookfield, WI 53045 apartments (apartment address 1910 norhardt dr brookfield wi 53045) December 16, 2019. For the first time, shortcomings (not critical) were identified and everything was transferred to the landlord. During the first 10 days me and my wife found the carpet: 1 rusty nail, 3 self-tapping screws, 2 needles. I was ready to endure everything further, if not for one event. December 26, 2019 my daughter stepped on a needle! She screamed in pain! My patience is over. December 27, I went to the administration of the complex with a request to replace the entire carpet in all apartments, because I do not know how many more needles are waiting for my daughter’s leg. David said to me that he could just clean my carpet! To my question, can he guarantee that after that there will be no needles in the carpet, he said that he cannot guarantee this (which is logical). I dont now how to live in unsafe apartment.. The apartment that you will be shown (exhibit) is not at all like the one you have to live in! Be carefull! Here is what I came across: 1) stinks of dog urine 2) in the carpet, nails needles and screws 3) torn seal on the dishwasher 4) the water in the sink barely flows. very low pressure 5) a broken door lock 6) a broken lock on the window 7) broken wardrobe door 8) dirty blinds 9) dirty chandeliers 10) Very dirty carpet! 11) trash in the heater 12) a broken box in the kitchen 13) torn gum on the door 14) on the carpet repair pieces 15) a lot of traces of adhesive tape and iron staples from the stapler on the balcony 16) the boiler constantly makes noise and shoots. I should put 1 star. But in the initial stages, a nice and executive guy named Zeke really helped. Only out of respect for him, I will throw 1 additional star and give a final rating of 2 stars. I am a very calm and loyal person until the matter starts to concern the safety of my family. This post would not have appeared if I had just been given a safe home.

Maintenance is fantastic but management is inefficient.

We have been resident here for over four years and new management and new management practices are all about what is good for the owner and not what is reasonable for the tenant. Will not be extending our lease at next renewal. Mandel Group understood customer service - can not be said for the new group - be warned!

Things have gone down hill majorly since Inland bought this property a year ago. It's sad to see such a beautiful property once go down. The staff here was fabulous but All have left. Huge turn over on staff. Since Inland can't keep staff things get Very behind and residents have to deal with the negatives of all this when truly it's Inlands cooperate's fault. The investors should know there are Many problems and that this property is sinking. Sell it to a Good well managed company that truly know how to run residential properties. These are people's lives and homes

Hi, We agree that our staff has a huge impact on the living experience of our residents, and if we're falling short, we want to hear about it. If you have the time, please reach out to the leasing office so that we can address these concerns and find a solution. Thank you.
After living here for many years, the acquisition of Inland was the worst. High rent and a low quality service. With the same money you can find much better options.
Things are substantially improving after Jackie (New Manager) has taken over. The staff, Lindsey, Derrick are great and very helpful. Very safe and beautiful neighborhood. Lot of renovation is going on for improvements.
