Less than 40 miles north of Des Moines, Nevada — pronounced Ne-VAY-da — enjoys both the tranquility of a small town and the convenience and amenities of a bigger city thanks to the surrounding metro areas. As the county seat of Story County, Nevada is home to an active downtown area full of charming buildings and elegant storefronts. The town center is surrounded by large parks like Harrington Park, 4-H Park, and Kiwanis Park. Restaurants and boutiques set within Nevada’s Historic District give residents a glimpse into the town’s past.
Nevada’s grid layout means that any apartment or home single-family rental has convenient access to both the downtown district and U.S. Highway 30. With the city of Ames to the west, and Des Moines to the south, Nevada is perfectly positioned for those who commute or enjoy heading into the city for fun.

Property Ratings at Nevada Park Elderly Apartments
Not a very good place to live as far as mantainance and up keep on property. Have had to replace my own locks due to to break ins. My shower wand and faucet. Toliet tank leaked for over a month so had to change all hardware and bolts on tank. Drafts cause utility bill to sky rocket in colder months anywhere from $100.00 - $150.00 monthly. No access to property manager unless she's has a reason to be here like to serve papers or do recert 6 months early. Have to call corporate and only to leave a message for them to decide who gets a call back and who doesn't but the who doesn't are the ones get the papers served because issues aren't addressed by corporate. Other than that guess it's ok if you can't find another place. Better than being homeless. Oh and the $293,000 claimed to have gone on improvements here just for last year we'll Dooon't Yooou Believe it
