The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Nest Apartments
My roommate and I have lived here for close to a year now and we have not had any issues that weren’t taken care of the same day. From the moment we walked into the office we felt so welcomed. Rachel is the absolute best! She truly does care for every one who lives here. I love our little community we have here. It is very quiet and peaceful. All of our neighbors have been super sweet and welcoming. I’ve never seen nor heard any of the issues someone else claimed in another review and we’ve been here for quite some time. If you’re looking for a quiet welcoming community, then this is the place for you! This is by far the best experience I’ve had at any apartment complex in Tyler!
There is so much to say as to why The Nest apartments are the best in town. The apartments themselves are beautiful, and whatever needs to be redone, will be before you move in. You have options as to what you want in an apartment, and the amenities couldn’t be any better. The pool is the place to be in the summer, the best time for residents to really get to know who they live next to. The environment feels friendly, like home. It’s genuinely such a tight community and there is no way that you won’t get to know your neighbors lol. Rachel is the best! She loves getting to know the people that live here, and she does any and everything that she can to keep this property at 100%. I would recommend this place to anyone I know, you won’t regret it!
I deducted 2 stars mainly for the atmosphere and hostility of the property manager, I’ll leave her unnamed, you can do your own homework on who she is. She (the property manager) either hated you or liked you, there really is no in between - whether she had a “valid” reason or not, I will truly never understand. I very much got high school drama vibes from her. My neighbors, who are also my coworkers, somehow found out all of my business constantly. Anything I went to the office for (questions, comments, concerns) seemed to almost immediately be relayed to them in a negative way. Anytime I had a problem with my apartment; it was as if I was inconveniencing the manager by bringing it to her attention. As if that’s not her JOB? I’m not sure why this is or what I possibly did to rub her the wrong way from the get go. On one occasion the AC drip tray was over flowing above my shower (also a con, turn your AC off when showering or else cold air will constantly blow on you) and causing rust to drip inside my tub. When I brought this to her attention she asked me how long it had been going on for. I told her I was unsure…I had heard the dripping before but just recently noticed the rust. I was replied to with a “well which is it? First you said it wasn’t rusting and now it is” …again, the hostility. I’m not a maintenance person so I really didn’t know the answer as to what was causing it, nor should I have to figure out the answer. That’s what we pay the monthly maintenance fee for.
If you're looking for poorly maintained apartments with management that will make you regret ever signing a lease, this is the place for you! I've rented from about five apartment complexes in my life and this has been the worst experience I've ever had. Property management was a nightmare and unfit to be in such a position, in my opinion. I know it's a cliche to talk about how horrible property managers are, but it's truly the case here. So, if you're looking for a place to rent in Tyler and you think this is a good option, please reconsider. That's just my opinion.

Thank you, Caleb. Unfortunately for you, we do enforce the lease here. Best of luck!
I signed a year lease with nest apartments. Everything was great the first 1/2 of the year. My roommate and I are both enrolled in full time school. Our student discount was not applied to each month. I had to send an email to our leasing management to get the amount taken off. If it was told to me that it would be taken off each month that is what I expect not a lump sum taken off after months of not getting it. So far I have found 3 roaches they came and sprayed when we saw it seems to not have worked. We had a lot of problems with our a/c unit. It had to get replaced and we were expected to stay in an apartment with no a/c and I can tell you it did get above 80 degrees. We had to find another place to stay for that night. While the a/c was broken we had water leaking from above our shower. I called the emergency number I was told it was normal. After the second call they came out to see it was a huge leak and is now causing mold growth above the shower. Towards the end of our lease we just wanted to get out and management came to us and said I can get you out the 15th if August I have someone who has already put money down. So we said great and packed all of our stuff. Later that week she called us about my roommate going to bootcamp. She has not yet got the date to go to MEPS. We were confused on why this was relevant. She was trying to get our lease broke by her getting deployed. If she has not gone to boot camp yet there is no possible why she could get deployed. There is very poor communication from management to tenets. Every conversation I have had with the leasing office has been a terrible experience. My emails are not answered It seems to be a huge inconvenience to the leasing office any time I report a problem or need help understand the miscommunications that have been constantly occurring.
This Nest management team has really gone the extra mile for us. Finding an apartment during this "new reality" of ours has been not only terrifying but soo difficult. I have probably called over 10 properties over 4 weeks with ZERO success. It's like everyone just stopped caring and responding. The Nest made this entire process easy and stress-free. They responded to me right away even after I emailed them after hours. While I don't expect this service from anyone, that really stood out to me, and I'm extremely thankful. Thank you, Rachel!
I have lived at this apartment complex for almost three months now. I chose this complex because it has really good reviews, it has basically no crime rate, it's cheap, and it's in a good neighborhood. The outside of the apartments could use a lot of TLC but the inside is pretty decent. When I moved in, they didn't have my apartment ready. It wasn't clean, they had not finished installing the new appliances, they had not finished the usual maintenance they do after someone moves out and it smelled like cigarettes! Oh and the carpet was still wet. The mirrors have lots of pain stains and the new counter tops/floors have some imperfections. The leasing office explained to me that there was some miscommunication with the maintenance people and thats why It wasn't ready so I guess this doesn't happen often. All in all, it's a good, cheap place to live. They are pretty nice. I just wish they would take better care of the grass and outsides of the buildings.
