Birdland Neighbors is a predominantly residential neighborhood in the southeast corner of Sunnyvale. Commonly referred to as Birdland, this neighborhood offers high-end rentals in a variety of styles, from quaint single-family houses to lavish apartments. Birdland has several excellent daycares and schools, a dinosaur themed-park, and a hospital nearby, so it’s an extremely family-friendly community.
Very few restaurants or commercial retailers exist in the neighborhood, but locals enjoy the peaceful retreat the neighborhood provides them and don’t have to travel far for more options. Located in Silicon Valley, this tree-lined suburban community is also an excellent choice for industry professionals seeking an easier commute to work. Birdland is only a 15-minute walk to Apple Park, the corporate headquarters of the famed tech company. Property Ratings at Mylo Santa Clara
I would strongly advise avoiding this property at all costs. I lived here for an extended period of time and have never experienced theft as frequently as I did at the Mylo Apts in Santa Clara. I reported these incidents to management repeatedly, but nothing was ever addressed or resolved. Package theft is a constant and ongoing problem — despite years of complaints, management has taken no meaningful action. Packages often show as “delivered” but are nowhere to be found. I personally witnessed someone stealing packages from the top of the mailboxes, reported it to management, and once again — no action was taken. The problems extend beyond packages: cars are regularly broken into, and storage rooms are not secure. The final straw for me was when my locked bicycle was stolen from the designated bike storage area. The lock had been cut, and despite this area being marketed as “secure” and accessible only by fob, management failed to follow up, review camera footage, or offer any support. Their complete lack of response is unacceptable, especially since this wasn’t the first bike theft at the Mylo. What’s even more concerning is that there are two cameras — one outside the bike room and one inside — yet no one seems capable of retrieving the footage. Since access to the bike room requires a fob, it’s alarming to think that someone with authorized access could commit theft without any accountability. Security is a major concern. It seems anyone can easily access the building without restriction. On top of that, many tenants show little respect for shared spaces. The trash rooms are consistently filthy, hallways smell unpleasant, and carpets appear not to have been cleaned or vacuumed in months. The dog policy is another major issue. Tenants frequently let their dogs roam off-leash, and it’s not uncommon to find messes in hallways, elevators, and outdoor common areas. I’ve raised these concerns with building management repeatedly, but they are consistently ignored. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere unless you want to chase packages, worry about your car or bike being stolen, and deal with poor maintenance and management. This place deserves 0 stars.

I've rented in a lot of different places, and Mylo is the worst by far. Management does not respect its tenants and will do you dirty just to profit. It's clear none of them have experience in running an apartment complex well, and they don't care for your wellbeing unless it has some kind of impact on their cashflow. On top of this, the building is so poorly constructed. Be prepared to tiptoe around your apartment and hear every detail of your neighbor's conversations next door. For what you're paying to stay here, you could get something way better somewhere else. Don't make the mistake I did by renting here.
1. Service is very poor. very difficult to reach office people when they work remotely. i had experience that do not get any response for 2 weeks after i called, texted, and emailed for many times. 2. Ask very high reliability of your rental insurance and they pick specific insurance companies, which cost higher than usual. 3. not responsible. lost package, lost bike, car broken happened many times a year. community doesn't care. I have a neighbor lives 7 people in a 1b1b for more than months and made a lot of noise. I messaged the office, nobody cares. 4. charge unreasonable money which is not clear listed in the lease. and no prior notice of all these items, it just suddenly showing up at your moveout charge. 5. Water is dirty, room is relatively old compare with nearby community. but not cheaper. they increase the price a lot (very close to 10% each year) and force people to leave when you renew the lease.
Living here is okay due to the community I have made relationships with over the year. Management here seems to not care for residents. I have sent emails before and have not gotten any response. Contact with the staff seems difficult and not flexible. They are very stingy with everything related to the complex. Even the club house you have to pay hourly rate while management uses the clubhouse often for themselves.
This service at this property is extremely poor. They whole office staff works online and it is very difficult to get any help. They even stopped giving out dolly to help residents carry packages. No phone calls or emails are ever returned. Even the emergency contact is poor. I am so disappointed in the service. For such a high rent the service is very bad and I regret it. The packages get delivered to a special room which is very far and there is no organization whatsoever. You could easily spend hours looking for your package and no one will help you. It is so bad. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
I lived in Mylo for a year and moved out. This place just got noise from everywhere. From neighbors, from road, from people party after midnight. And the management won’t be bothered to solve the problem. Just skip this place.
Complete Fraud. Low credibility. I signed the contract and paid the deposit to move-in Sep 15. They delayed the move-in date. In Sep 9th, mylo agreed to return my deposit due to the unexpected move-in delays via email. And I have a proof for that. Until now, Oct 26th, I still have not receive the returning deposit after phone calls and emails with Ryan. During the whole process, I have heard so many excuses such as “Ryan is not in office and he is the one who should in charge of it.” Or “ I will reach out as soon as I hear from accounting on Tuesday to let you know if the check has been mailed out.” ( quote from Ryan’s email) and I never heard a response after that. Despite how much inconvenience mylo has caused my family because of late move-ins, they did not keep their promise for returning my deposit back! It’s endless fight and I feel AWFUL to choose mylo once in my life. Watch your deposit. You might never get it back.
Don’t go near this community. We signed a lease for August 1st and still leaving in a hotel. They rescheduled us four times and the only thing they are telling is that you can leave or wait forever. They are irresponsible and disorganized. They are not ready at all but they are leasing and playing people. They don’t care at all. You’ll be crazy if you talk to Tyler. He repeats a sentence like a machine and doesn’t help at all. They are blaming only city of Santa Clara but I just talked to them and they denied everything Mylo told us as an excuse for the delays. They even inform us the day before move in. Just imagine this. How many arrangements we made and how much cancellation fee we went through so far.
