The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Mountain Place
I am a 100% disabled Army war Veteran. I moved out of my apartment at Mountain Oaks, Stone Mountain, GA, now know as Avri Hills, Stone Mountain, GA, Dec 30, for an effective date of Jan 1. I made sure I did everything in accordance with moving out, from the notice, to leaving the apartment in a better condition than I received it. According to the lease I should have received my deposit back within 30 days, and a summary of any deductions. I have not received my deposit or any reasons for any deductions. No reasons or accusations against me to not receive my deposit back. The leasing office constantly tells me they are trying with corporate (Filmore Property Group), but can’t get a response. Then they refer me to try on my own, and in 4 months they have only answered the phone once. During that one time my information was received, and I was told I would be contacted with a resolution. That hasn’t happened. The leasing office contacted me through email to say accounting had cut my check and I should receive it in 2-3 weeks, that was over a month and a half ago, and now they no longer respond. I moved from this place because the units have roaches, they have safety hazards they refuse to fix, mold, cracking ceilings, condemned buildings within the complex, rats at the trash area, and it’s a terrible place to live. They are just ignoring me and dismissing me as if the law doesn’t apply to them, and they can take people money with no explanation or accountability.
Form kids and adults constantly fighting , mold inside and outside , gunshots even in the middle of the day while kids are playing and apartments not being upkept by maintenance or management. Do not let the pictures fool you . The office is the best looking place in the whole complex and that’s why they show those pictures but the apts are not held up to the office standards. Pool never opened the whole 2 years we lived there so paying for amenities that we never used. There is no way these cost this much now . 2 years of hell and trauma at mountain oaks ( what this was called before name change ) , BUT not worth it if you value your peace or value the safety of your children. Really hope this help someone save their time , money and peace of mind.
Modified automatic pistols fired in the parking lot. Criminals haven't paid rent for 2 years and not being evicted by DeKalb County. Within a month and a half of living here there were 7 confirmed car break ins. Even a police's personal vehicle was broken into. Brought to the attention of management and even called their corporate office and they don't care. If you care for your safety and don't like paying insurance deductibles for broken car windows, then don't move here.
Made an appointment online after seeing there were available units. Called and confirmed that and said I was coming from out of state. Get to the gate and dial the 0s to call leasing office to let me in, goes to voicemail, I call again from the dial box and my phone, girl answers and says to dial the 0s even though she can clearly hear the dial box going to voice email lol. I go behind someone else to go to the leasing office for her to tell me there aren’t any units available, not even to tour because people moved out in November and they haven’t even been in them so they aren’t cleaned or ready. Why not tell me that on the phone and wasting my time knowing I was coming from out of state. Didn’t care at all but to tell me I can apply for something that I won’t be able to see. On top of that I saw several tenants coming into the office complaining that their pay system wasn’t accepting their rent payments. A well enough warning to stay away. Very disappointing and unprofessional
rats run the neighborhood!!!!! Roaches all up in all the units. Once you think you got rid of the roaches the neighbors gots them also which gets into your apartment. Management switches more then you switch draws. Pool/gym has never been open. If this is something your comfortable with GO APPLY ! I warned you !!!!!!!!!!
Before I submitted an application, I reached out to see if there were units available. They told me that there were units available for sure. I submitted an application to move here and was in close contact with someone in the office. I told them I had a strict move in date of before or by the end of July because my roommate was moving here from another state. They told me that they would have a unit available. There was no unit available and they wasted my time. They notified me that the unit was not available 3 days before I was supposed to move in! I luckily found another apartment complex nearby that had units available. The miscommunication between everyone was just terrible. Luckily, we did not make a down payment on the unit, so only the application fees was wasted.

i have live here over 10 months whenever i have any issues the manger Lena is very professional and makes sure the problem is solved the dumpster area has gotten cleaned up. i really enjoy living here and will be renewing my lease when it expires. to Lena and all the staff including maintence i want to say keep up the good work.
so far so good, they are really putting in an effort to improve our quality of living..im hopeful.
These apartments are advertising a fitness center and pool and THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO FITNESS CENTER and the pool HAS NOT BEEN OPEN since 2014!!!! The management is terrible. The residents are extremely nasty. The trash is constantly piled up around the dumpster and the rats love it!! It smells like death at all times. They continue to raise rent but have not upgraded the units. Unless you are desperate and don't mind throwing your money away, DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!
