Excellent complex. I just had my friends tour some units. The utilities are way too expensive but that is the only problem here. It's safe, and friendly. The pool area is beautiful, I washed my dog in the dog washing station, the pool has just been redone, my deck looks out on flowers and hummingbirds! No need to move out. Also my closet is huge and I have very high ceilings and lots of charm. I live alone with a small doggie and we are happy here. Minutes to all surrounding towns.

I looked at 9 apartments and chose this one. Its centrally located. Its clean and friendly. It has an excellent balcony, nice appliances and high ceilings. The leasing staff, Nancy and Erica are very helpful and knowledgeable.

Monterey Townhouse has been a great place to call home for the past 10 months. It’s conveniently located to shopping and my work. Parking is good, and the laundry rooms are plentiful and accessible.

I have loved living here! It’s generally quiet and has all the essentials (shopping and dining) within walking distance. I love that it’s a pet friendly apartment, which means I am always meeting new dog and cat friends :) Nancy and Ericka are the leasing agent and community manager. They do a great job of keeping the club house well stocked with snacks and are always so kind when I stop in for a coffee! The complex is pretty good at getting maintenance requests done right away. You can submit them easily online, same as paying rent- which is so convenient. Adorable small park around the corner that is great for hosting small gathers, taking the dogs for a walk, or peeking in their little free library for a new read!

The units are old, energy inefficient, and lack basic appliances such as a dishwasher, washer/dryer, or even a microwave. I’ve had better furnishings in apartments half the size. The heating element doesn’t heat the bedrooms so you will need a space heater to sleep. Expect to hear full conversations from your neighbors through the walls.

This is the perfect location to live on the Monterey Bay.
Monterey Townhouse made the process of moving stress-free. Reaching the office by phone and e-mail was easy and responses were very quick. When I met management in person, the customer service just kept coming! :) I was able to take a tour and sign a lease that day. The townhome is lovely and when I needed a work order completed, I was lucky enough to have the staff at my door within 3 minutes and work completed in 30. So thankful to call this place home.

Amy was extremely helpful when we came to view the apartments. She sat down with us and explained everything in detail. She even went above and beyond to call around to other complexes to see what else was available and the pricing for them. Also, the application process was smooth and simple. My wife and I moved in a week ago to a 1 bedroom on the first floor. The first-floor patio is large enough for a table and chairs outside and you still have plenty of room. The bedroom closet is spacious; however, there is little storage space in the rest of the apartment. The walls are thin and you can hear the neighbours with any movement they make. This apartment was recently renovated with hard floors, new stainless steel appliances to include 5 burner gas stove, a roomy refrigerator and a beautiful sink. The carports are small and it makes it hard to get in and out of the vehicle once parked. The windows are single paned, flimsy feeling, hard to open/close and rattle anytime you open a door. The laundry rooms are outside of the units and there is only one 24 hour room with 2 washers and 2 dryers. The machines take debit/credit cards instead of quarters. Each load is $3 total to wash and dry. The first night we moved in, to our surprise we noticed fleas in the apartment and since we don't own any pets nor ever had any fleas, they must have been here from the previous tenant or come from another unit. In hindsight, we should have checked the carpet more thoroughly for bugs before moving in. Overall, the apartment itself is nice but not worth the price. However, it is centrally located and everything is less than 10 minutes away. You will be paying for the location mostly. Pros: Close to stores and the beach Large bedroom closet Huge patio New stainless steel apliances Small 24 hour gym with treadmills and a weight machine Pool area is clean and has gas grills that always have gas Cons: Walls are thin Windows and sliding door need to be updated Kitchen cabinets are not deep Storage space No one cleans up their dog poop
