Property Ratings at Mira Bella Apartments
I lived here from 2023-2024. The apartment itself has plenty of room for what you're paying for in San Diego. I had a 2 bedroom 2 bath and thought the price was fair. When we moved in there were little hairs all over the toilet and a cockroach that they had painted over instead of removing in the master bathroom. Parking was not assigned, and people would leave their cars in the same spot for months. There was a car that had it's doors open and dust collecting. The garage itself always had trash in it. I could never get the spots I wanted because the first level was always full and the second floor was the only available. The trash room always smelled horrible and sometimes people would leave there trash on the floor if the bin was too full. The gym and club room are decent for what you're getting. I'd still prefer to go to an actual gym, but it works for getting a quick workout done. The location of the complex is very close to great restaurants. Moving in and out was a hassle, because you can't pull a U-Haul into their garage, you're parked on the sidewalk and the gate doesn't hang open. Towards the end of my lease, the neighbors pipe burst flooding my apartment and ruining a large rug I had on the ground. Management didn't send any apology or recognition of the inconvenience. They told me to "that's why you have insurance". The blonde woman that works there seems to hate her job. I'm not sure why she works there if she hate's helping customers. All in all, this is a decent apartment complex but the property managers there leave a bad taste in your mouth every time you talk to them.

It’s always important to not only live in an amazing community but to have an amazing maintenance team to back it up. Juan is absolutely amazing. He always goes above and beyond for our maintenance needs and concerns. Never leaves anything request unanswered or completed. He’s been part of the team for years now so he is definitely alemone you can trust! This community feels like one big happy family between the office staff, maintenance staff, and cleaning staff :)

This apartment was great! The location is pretty central and very close to the freeway. The maintenance people here are the best!

I would recommend as apartments are roomy but I would let them know you have to stay on top of the little request for maintenance and other request
I would recommend these apartments to anyone as the staff are like family they listen help and check on you the grounds are awesome and beautiful
The property is beautiful and well-kept and there are lots of amenities as well which are great. There is a fair amount of parking for residents and not a bad guest parking system. However, we've had several concerns rise up in less than 1 year of living here and were disappointed with how these issues were handled by office staff. The management team needs to respond to resident concerns and follow up in a timely manner. They did not show any urgency when there was a 6-month old beehive in the master bedroom of our apartment and took months to resolve the issue. We also had issues with our water heater (no hot water for an entire week-twice) and had gas leakage from the dryer. Trash was always overflowing in the trash room. Our disappointment specifically lies with the management team. When we brought up our concerns, they showed a lack of urgency/proactiveness, responsiveness, and accountability. We understand issues that occur are outside the control of staff, but their care/responsibility/accountability is what matters to us. Security was also disappointing as one of our cars was broken into inside the garage and no follow-up was given. Maintenance staff tried their best to help us resolve the issues as they arose and we appreciate them. Another thing to note about this property is that there is construction right next door at the school every day early in the morning (this is not the property's fault of course but thought I'd mention it here). Overall, it is a nice property but due to management, we do not feel like our concerns are taken seriously and for that reason we will not be renewing our lease.

We feel we have worked with you in attempts to resolve each issue brought to our attention. This was shown as we effectively communicated during every step of the beehive extraction and water heater. We understood the inconvenience of no hot water, so accommodated the best we could by giving you the keys to another unit to use until your water heater was delivered. Additionally, our maintenance team is working hard to fix the trash chutes. Finally, we agree that the car break-ins were very frustrating. Unfortunately, many cars around the neighborhood were hit, and our team contacted every resident who was affected to discuss the issue. Again, we are sorry to hear your negative feedback, but we hope you know our staff has tried to accommodate and help where we can. The noise level has been my main issue since I moved in. Very noisy upstairs neighbors, plus the hallways echo when anyone is talking in them. Not a lot of privacy.
Centrally located and a nice building with a lot of cool amenities.
I might recommend the apartment complex for the value. However, I will let them aware of the constant false building alarms. I have to say that they have been reduced but they still happened.
The apt complex is clean.
All my intersections with the service people and office staff has been great.
Love the field right by the building. Watertank runs out of hot water fairly quickly, fire alarms are extremely sensitive..can't use oven without all alarms going off...so we unplugged them. Fridge is significantly smaller than what was shown in tour and than what we were expecting. Elevators are very slow. Trash service is awesome! Community has lots of dog poop outside...never seems to be cleaned up.
between the unsecured gated community with broken gates and door to cards being robbed behind a gated parking garage. To fire alarms going off at all hours of the day for no reason and no real notice for work being done on the system when the workers set it off. neighbors who smoke in the building when it's a smoke free building and don't follow the rules of the lease. management does nothing to really fix these problems or own up to it when they are not fixing it. we thought we found a place that we could live at for many years but after what has happened to us and the good neighbors I wouldn't recommend this place. I'd say this is a place that looks nice and everyone loves to say they live in a gated building but some neighbors purposely damage the build so it's NOT SECURE AT ALL!!!!! The apartments are nice and well kept but not worth your ears and personal belongings.

This apartment community have excellent staff, great location, and terrific rooms.
I can’t imagine how this place has 4.9 stars, but I guess everyone’s experience is different. The false information provided by this property is one of the most unprofessional things I’ve ever experienced.

Everything is just perfect here and the community is well put together. Neighbors are nice. Place is beautiful.
Maintenance is great but the amenities that are advertised at this community hardly ever work, some have been broken for over a year. No fault of management but the property owner should have things corrected when issues arise instead of wasting money on wall signs that are hardly noticeable to anyone other than current residents.
It is convenient location, but there has been some theft occurring. Not all dog owners are picking up after their pets causing hazards and the fitness room has been closed for ages.
Very dog friendly community, floor plan is very spacious compared to what's out there. Either I have very quiet neighbors upstairs, below and to the side of me or the walls are awesome...
I would because it’s a great apartment community. The people are very nice and the area is wonderful. I would live to move in once approved.
I would definitely recommend Mirabella I had a really good stay my only suggestion would be to get more maintenance personnel I feel like they are definitely carrying a heavy load with the responsibility of resident care
They only had "community events" during the spring move-in push. It's not a community. And posted communication was always put up at the last minute right before events then left up for weeks afterwards. People need to plan.
The issue was dealt with so quickly and the maintenance person was so kind, polite and quick.

Overall a decent place to live, but very overpriced for where it is located and the amenities (nothing in walking distance).
It seems to be a very nice community and everything went pretty smooth. The price is still a bit high, however so is everything in San Diego and with these amenities so if someone can afford it I would recommend it for an apartment and also depending where the apartment is located.
It’s very convient for me and I just can’t certainly say or recommend this to anyone who’s not as familiar with SD.
This is a beautiful property. The leasing agent was so nice. We were looking for my daughter who is starting college. And she treated her nicely and maturely.
The community is good but there are too many children in the pool and the screaming is sometimes at an intolerable level.
Kitchen appliances, heater, AC need maintenance. Dish washer, washing machine, AC unit were broken at the moment of moving in. After moving in we had to place many different maintenance orders to get them fixed.
I would recommend these apartments to anyone it's convenient it's family staff is nice when you have any situation they work with you on it
The staff is super friendly and the apartment complex is clean and well maintained.
I would recommend this complex but I'd be cautious to recommend it to Junior Sailors due to the cost and the amount it is raised at the end of one year.
It's safe and clean. But it's not a community. There's little opportunity to meet neighbors. And I'm not sure which neighborhood I belong to.
The exterior of the property is nice, and most of the interior is good too. However, this is not a long-term apartment for myself. Just getting from your car in the garage to your front door can take up to five minutes - which is inconvenient if you have your hands full with groceries or other stuff. There's not enough stairs and elevators to make it a quick trip, it's a bit of a maze. You also have to have a remote to even use the limited elevators, which makes it annoying for guests to come visit. You have to meet your guests downstairs in the garage to let them in. The apartment itself has a similar layout as a hotel with the front doors inside a hallway. The flooring is nice (marble maybe) but it picks up every noise (foot steps, voices, etc) and echoes into your apartment. This has been an issue for my dog who thinks these are threatening noises. This is also a huge challenge for me because I work from home and have to do conference calls throughout the week. Not only that, but I have been on two meetings so far where the fire alarm for the whole complex has went off. Fire alarms go off so much around here. Even if you simply open your oven to remove food, the alarm will go off. The walls are a bit then too, even the ceiling. My lights are constantly rattling/shaking when my upstairs neighbors are just walking around. The trash situation is kind of unique too. You put your trash in these boxes by your front door, which is supposed to be convenient but if you have large items, you're kind out of luck. There's an additional trash chute in the hallway, but it's still not very big. Overall, the apartments are nice looking but it doesn't provide the convenience I want in an apartment. There's not much staff can do about it though, their features (secure elevator, guest parking, trash, etc.) just aren't what I'm looking for.

great location, great amenities, didn't like their is not a separate elevator for moving in /moving out.. movers spent alot of time waiting. very quiet at night. more children than expected. love that it is so dog friendly
It's a good community however, I would hesitate to recommend you. The on sight team cares very much for their tenants but your corporate office only sees dollar signs and it's off-putting.
I haven't dealt much with the office staff, but when I have the particular person was not very friendly, in fact she was a bit rude. Also, since you have installed the wireless wifi I cannot get cell reception from my apartment. It's very frustrating to have to go outside to make a phone call. Also, when I moved into this apartment there were breed restrictions, but I have seen many dogs on that breed list. And lastly, smoking, this is supposed to be a smoke free environment.... NOT! I'm done, my lease expires I will be moving out!
Nice apartments and amazing staff with great amaneties and a park for the neighborhood's backyard. Great location.
The staff was very welcoming and the few residents I saw around the property knew the person who was showing us around and greeted her.
Took days calls and a office visit to get somebody here, but, there was a lot going on
The amenities are nice and the location and safety are all plusses, however the staff really needs to check and make sure the appliances are working and be upfront about what charges are additional to the rent.
I would not feel comfortable recommending this property knowing that their lease would increase significantly every year. Also, moving from apartment to apartment is also a difficult task because of the fact all major decisions come from Simpson Property and not the local management.
Everything is nice. The stairwell areas need some TLC Other than that this is a pleasant place. Also, maybe limit personal music in pool area
I will absolutely recommend Mirabella apartment to anyone looking for a place like home .

There?s a distinct difference between having casual visits and wanting to show everyone your home. This apartment community is one that I would enjoy showing my friends and family. The professionalism, cleanliness and amenities are amazing!
Between my roommate and I, our veiled were broken into three times. Not even due to visible items. My roommate had a solid black cover to the bed of his truck that was forced open. My license plates were stolen that same day. Cameras were of zero help. If you want to have someone call it home, it needs to be safe. The doorknobs in the hallway were always in poor repair and hard to open at times (fire safety issue!). The staff however was absolutely amazing. I know them all by name and love the quality of service they provided. They made it feel like home as best as their ability.
The office staff and maintenance staff has always operated and a high level of friendliness and efficiency best complex I've ever lived at. Thank you
