The name “Hell’s Kitchen” make scare you away from renting here, but believe it or not, Hell’s Kitchen is one of New York’s most loved neighborhoods. Over the years, this neighborhood has undergone substantial improvements, and today it is considered one of the safest and most in-demand areas for renters in the city. But don’t worry; even though Hell’s Kitchen is popular, there are tons of available apartments for you to find your perfect home.
Hell’s Kitchen is defined by upscale new and refurbished residential buildings, though rental rates are still quite competitive for Manhattan. A vibrant collective of restaurants, bars, and art centers will leave you with plenty to do if you live here! Numerous public parks are spread throughout the community, particularly the large De Witt Clinton Park near the waterfront, and Central Park is very close as well.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Midwest Court
Maintenance has been very efficient and quick to respond to requests. Lobby is always very clean. Everyone on the staff is generally nice.
I’ve loved my experience living here and would recommend it (and already have!). The apartments are so quiet, especially for NYC, management is very professional and the building is incredibly clean/well taken care of.
Not a real luxury building, and overpriced for what it is, with the most dishonest and unprofessional leasing staff I have ever encountered
A lovely building with great size and clean apartments in one of the best locations in Manhattan. The doormen are extremely nice, helpful and the amenities are fabulous.
Midwest Court has a great location, is well maintained and attractive, has good amenities, and the team working at the location are wonderful.
"This is a great building if you want easy access to metro, restaurants, the park, and the Hudson all while living on a very quiet street in MidTown. Less than ½ a mile from Times Square but no tourists and no night time noise. The roof deck with city views is a great escape." The newly renovated units are very nice. Maple floors. New appliances. Only drawback is that they didn't replace the windows. Otherwise, the units are excellent. Best Feature: 7th floor roof deck with city and (obstructed) river views. If you want quiet reflection, there is plenty of room to find your own space. If you want to have a bit of fun, late evenings there is generally a group willing to take all comers. Second Best Feature: The street is silent at night. 53rd doesn't connect. Very quiet. Yet we are only steps from 9th ave and all the restaurants and bars of Hells Kitchen (sorry Clinton). Laundry facilities in building are nice--enough washers and dryers that there is generally no wait. Doormen: Almost all of them are nice and friendly. Gym: Adequate. The treadmills are very nice and high end. Comfortable for even long runs. The weights and other work out aides are what you would expect in a mid-price hotel. Tenants: Range in age from 20s to 50s. Professionals to students. Everybody is friendly.
