For over half a century, Huntsville has been associated with the development and testing of rockets for space exploration. This idyllic community in the Appalachian foothills of northern Alabama is a powerhouse of high-tech innovation for both civilian and military applications, with Redstone Arsenal, Cummings Research Park, and NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center driving the local economy. Living in the Huntsville area, you are likely to hear sounds from helicopters and rocket engines on a fairly regular basis.
The city’s intellectual values extend into the local schools as well, which are among the best in the state. But even though the city is home to such a large and unique scientific community, Huntsville retains a timeless atmosphere of Southern charm. Beautiful historic architecture is all around, especially in the Twickenham and Old Town Historic Districts.
Huntsville offers an array of apartments and houses available for rent in every style and budget imaginable.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Metro Huntsville
I really enjoyed that the apartments are close to Redstone Arsenal for a short commute, a Publix for groceries, and the Merrimack sports complex. Bobby was great to work with for any maintenance issues that popped up (which were few), and Billy was a great property manager. I would recommend Metro as a great place for anyone wanting a well-priced apartment.
The maintenance staff are friendly and always available to help with any issues that arose during my stay. The apartment itself is clean, functional, and had all the necessary appliances to make living comfortable. It is a great value for the price. One of the best things about Metro Huntsville is its location. It's situated in a convenient area near shopping centers, restaurants, and other local attractions, making it easy to explore Huntsville. Overall, if you're looking for a comfortable and affordable place to live in Huntsville, Metro Huntsville is a great option. The staff are responsive, the apartments are clean and functional, and the location is excellent.
I lived at Metro flats for a year and have since moved on. The apartments are nice and very clean and gated! I will say the best thing was the maintenance! One night last winter the electricity went out on a Saturday and the maintenance man Bobby drove up to Huntsville to help see what the issue was even though he lived a bit far away. I can not say enough great things about the management, maintenance, or the quality of the apartment. I loved living there and if the need ever arose later on I would gladly move back!
A quiet, gated apartment complex which has all the necessities. Apartment I am currently in was newly renovated. Maintenance and Resident app is great to easily report any maintenance issues as well as for scheduling payments. Would recommend for any one around the area looking for a small place
I moved into Metro Huntsville about 8 months ago ( Aug 2021). I needed an apartment that was affordable, yet clean with modernization. I have since moved on; however, I didn't move away due to anything negative. I had zero maintenance issues during my tenure at Metro. Zero security issues. I didn't have a problem, issue or a complaint. I still don't. If you're looking for an apartment that is clean, modernized and affordable. Then get on the waiting list. The staff at Metro Huntsville are top notch (friendly and respectful). I couldn't ask for a better staff to take care of the grounds and facilities. Plus, friendly conversations with the staff was welcomed and almost daily. Metro Huntsville is great place live without cleaning out your pocket book.
Metro Huntsville is a great place to live. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It’s peaceful and quiet (next to a field with woods behind it), yet centrally located—minutes from everything in Huntsville. There’s good security and you feel safe. I’m very happy I live here.
