Metro Apartments at Wood River

I've enjoyed moving in so far and living here, Lisa and Shannon have been so helpful ith getting everything ready and answering my questions whe I need to ask them, I'm really glad I live here!

Everytime I needed something fixed they did immediately and they did it with a smile! I give all the staff 5 stars bc even the lady's in the office are approachable and easy to talk to.

Truly a nice place here at Metro Wood River! Clean and honestly, the best management I’ve ever dealt with. Highly recommend!

The townhomes are beautiful and well maintained! The office staff, Mrs. Shannon and Mrs. Lisa were extremely helpful and kind! Move in was simple and my family loves it!!

If you're looking for an apartment with an on-site, super responsive and friendly management - this is the place for you. Since there's 3 locations, they will work with finding the place that suits you best. I moved just after a month of signing my lease from the Thompson location when a place opened up at Colonial, with no headaches whatsoever - the large field where I could play fetch with my dog and proximity to work was a better fit overall and the manager Lisa did everything she could to make sure I was content. Anytime there's an issue I could shoot a text to the office and either Lisa or Shannon take of things immediately - most of time the same day. It's actually pretty unbelievable how fast they are. I never even write reviews but this place really looks out for tenants so I just had to let everyone know.

I must say just moved in a few days ago and as of now no issues. The ladies at the leasing office has been nice. No complaints as of now.

The layouts that they are showing you in the advertisements here could not be more of a lie. The apartments don't look anything like that. There is not that much room in these apartments. A dining room table in your kitchen!?!? I wish. No one is ever at the front office it goes straight to voicemail and if they're answering now it's only because they're trying to rent out apartments and beginning for new reviews. I assure you it's only temporary. The roads are horrible, the trash is horrible, the flies coming from the trash are horrible. The walls are thin you will always hear the neighbors. Don't forget you have to be careful about Everything You Touch because you might scratch the cheap flooring or the cheap counters,, or the cheap never replaced walls. Lord knows I don't want to ask maintenance to come in here they're extremely rude and I'm sure they wouldn't do much of anything they never do. They should call him the bare minimum man. I wanted to believe that this place would get better but they would need tens of thousands of dollars to do that and they don't care about us that much. Had to pay 2 utility bills for 3 months in a row because they messed up the billing.... how is that even fair?

We have been condemned from our old apartment. Were promised that we would have the option to move back if we’d like to because it was a bigger apartment and the apartment they moved us into was smaller and we were paying exactly the same (and then more because they started charging us for spectrum!) Then when we were moved in for a month and a half or so we get texts from our landlord saying that our spectrum account was still connected to the old apartment so we need to contact spectrum because the new residents need spectrum. That’s how we found out that our old apartment was ready for move in and weren’t given a warning. We called spectrum and they said we needed to go in store because the last people still had spectrum in THEIR name so now we had to go in and show proof of residency. Which we did and as soon as we get home we realize that our internet is cut off because they can’t put anything in the new apartments address because metro reported our address as fraud and don’t have it under our name. Even though THEY moved us. So now we are without internet, paying metro $75 a month for nothing, and that’s not even counting everything else they did. They gave us 5 days to move all of our stuff because our other apartment was condemned even though our lease says they are required to give us 30 days. When we moved into the new apartment it was covered in cobwebs and it was completely dirty. I could see a pizza crust under the stove from just walking in. The bathroom mirror cabinet was covered in yellow stuff. And the reason our apartment got condemned was because water kept coming up from the sink because of sewage issues. Jarrel refuses to talk to me and only talks to my boyfriend because I actually ask the questions that need to be answered and he got tired of answering. Shannon has been wonderful in helping as much as she possibly can. I honestly wish she was the property manager instead of Jarrel. We will be moving out as soon as this lease lets us. By the way they also had to have like 4/5 other units move out because of the condemning issues and were trying to get a family that had a three bedroom into a two bedroom because they didn’t have any three bedrooms yet it was a bigger family. They don’t care about their tenants at all.

Staff was very helpful and worked with me when changing move in dates, apts are clean and quiet and spacious.

I have recently just moved into Metro Apartments, and can say that thus far I am very pleased! I haven't experienced any major issues, and maintenance responds in a timely manner. This particular apartment is newly remodeled, very nice and spacious. It's a quiet neighborhood which I love, and the neighbors are very respectful and stay to themselves. I am very happy to have chosen to move into these apartments, which is why I try and spread the word to others who may not know about Metro Apartments!

We are happy to have chosen Metro for our home. The apartments are under new and better management. I am very happy to have a completely renovated unit. Metro Apartments are undergoing a complete makeover inside and out. We are very pleased with the area and our new neighbors. A big thanks to Lisa and Diago for being so friendly and welcoming us to the community.

I have lived at metro Apartments for almost a.year now. It has been a great place to stay for me. When i had an issue the maintenance team would be there within the next 1 to 2 days and i feel that is very timely. The landlord is great too. She has been awesome to be able to talk to. She has helped me alot. They also have an emergency maintenance line that u can call after hours and if its an emergency they will come out right that night or if its on a weekend they will come then. In summary i will definitely recommend metro apartments to and person lookin for a place to live.

This is not a safe place. The buildings are literally falling down, if you are a college student and living alone do NOT live here. I am a female and had 3 people try to get into my apartment. I saw drug deals and had to fight pests and mold the entire time. This place is not just bad, its dangerous. I know there is a new group in charge but unless they tear it all down and get rid of the users its not going to be a safe place. Just say no.

I lived here for 5 years and the repairs never happened. We had issues with water leaks, air conditioner repairs that need to be fixed it. For 4 straight years! They refused to replace it even though it cost us 450 dollars a month to run and never got the temp under 80 degrees. We were told that they understood the previous management neglected their duties and that they were going to completely revamp the apartment when moving out so we didn't need to worry about all the broken things they refused to fix after moving out. Then we were charged!! Do NOT trust anything they say. Nothing is worse that being mistreated and then lied to about it. One look at the parking lot is all it takes to know this place is not for you. Trust your instincts and look elsewhere.

These apartment pictures are false. They do not look like anything of the pictures. The walls and ceilings are caving in and they are not fixing them properly. They are still charging rent when it is falling apart and the apartments have mold in them. I would not rent from here unless you have a good lawyer to take them to court on how they keep their apartment complex and how they treat their tenants with telling them they have until the end of the month to move or they are still going to charge the entire rent. I wouldn't pay 100 to rent here. This is an outrageous place. I didn't want to rate this place but it is making me put a rate.
