We have lived here for about a year and absolutely love it. We will be signing a renewal lease! The staff is so helpful and they are willing to lend an extra hand when needed, there customer service is exceptional. The property manager, Nikki is outstanding. Our two bed room 2 1/2 bath is very spacious for 3 of us and our neighbors are never noisy. We are so pleased with our apartment complex. Thank y’all so much.

Two weeks in, not looking good. I have been lied to by the management staff on several occassions, on everything from maintenance that was performed before we moved in to what our rent would be. Maintenance was supposed to be maximum of 48 hours, were at two weeks on this work order, to remove their washer and dryer we told them we didnt want and they wanted to charge us for (you can buy washers and dryers, nice ones, for less than $45/month). Today our "BRAND NEW" per JD air conditioning went out, forcing us to go buy a window unit until they can repair it. Before they had "Emergency" work orders to get to before ours, we'll see what the turnaround time for this is. First time in my life I've been told a contractually stipulated military discount is a privelege, and can be revoked at the whim of the management team. Can I revoke their privelege of freedom? How about the privelege of protection from enemies foriegn and domestic? That is a courtesy extended to me for my service, one which I was told other tenants were not recieving, probably because they are not servicemembers. Management here seems to be content to take your money and then lie to your face with a smile, the manager can not keep her stories straight from one day to the next, and the maintenance team is so far non-existent, although I did see them in the office eating cookies from the new tenants area the other day (also when the manager ensured me the would get to my service request, asked them if they could, and they said they would be right over, 3 days ago). Two weeks into a nine month lease and already counting the days until I can move out. The only reason you should be looking to move in here is the same reason we did, they have availability.

We recently expierinced a leak in our upstairs bathroom. Within a few minutes after calling a maintenence Supervisor showed up and made the repairs, cleaned area and did a great job. He was very professional and friendly. I have lived in other apartments in Midland and it seemed like a bother to get any repairs done, certainly not an issue here. Excellent maintenence staff!!

My daughter and I live in a studio and we love it! It's 2 story and very roomy. We have been there a month and they are very friendly and helpful. Great staff. Jd helped me in every way possible! Highly recommend living here and very quiet area. Great school district and walking distance.

My husband and I moved our family here a little over a year ago and came across The Meridian Apartments, when we first moved to the property there was a completely different staff here and things were a little rough. Anytime I went into the office it was because I felt that our concerns weren't being heard and the office to didn't care, however, that all changed after about six months of living here when we got a new maintenance and office staff. The staff now are personable and really care about the concerns of the tenants, they truly do go above and beyond to make sure that this is a safe and positive community for us. When we have had work orders Josh and Maribel have always made sure that they were addressed quick we are so grateful for that I most enjoy the hellos and smiles first thing in the mornings from the maintenance team. The time and work that NIKKI, JD and Norma have done in making sure that my family and I are taken care of means so much to us and we are so grateful and appreciative for all that they have done. I have been most impressed with how thoughtful they have been by putting on various events and making this property feel more like a family community than any other property we've ever rented at; I especially loved Halloween parents like my husband and I always struggle with what to do with the kiddos and this year our staff threw the most AMAZING event for our babies. If that wasn't enough they are giving back to those that don't have families present for the holidays and we as a community have the opportunity to help others which is what this season is all about. We couldn't have asked or hand picked a more AMAZING staff if we tried, we love it here and because of them it won't matter how long we're here in Midland,Tx as long as we have them as our staff we won't be renting anywhere else.
These is THE WORST apartment to live in. The staff is lazy and rude. When a major problem arises, and as a tenant have to live with the consequences for days at a time nothing is offered for compensation. Had a few problems awhile back and now my apartment reeks of mildew and just gross!! I'm sure there is black mold forming as more time passes! It's ridiculous. If I had to choose over again I would have gone to another place!

While relocating to Midland for a new job I attempted to rent a Apt with Andrew's Square East which is another property owned by the same company as Meridian. Without going into to much detail the experience was horrible. The staff was rude with the exception of JD. He is a floater employee who works at several different locations. As I was about to give up hope of finding a decent place to meet my start date deadline JD called just to check in and see how my experience was at Andrew's Square. I explained everything and he asked me to come by Meridian. I'm so glad I did!!! Not only was the property and apt far nicer and cleaner but the staff wS awesome. JD and Nikki went above and beyond to get my paperwork taken coffee and had me moving in the next morning. I love it here and highly recommend Meridian apts. The staff here rocks!!!!

I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone! If you can get beyond the fact that these apartments were cheaply built & that they have no care as to whether the apartments look nice for new residents (i.e. paint & caulk splattered all over. the missing transition strips between the carpet & tile, leaving nails to stick up out of the carpet for anyone, including babies to step on. cracks in the walls near the electrical outlets. moving in after the cleaning crew has already "cleaned" but you still have to wipe food and gunk out of & off of cabinets, etc), you'll be introduced to the REAL office staff. Not the smiling faces that happily have you sign your contract, but the idiots that don't seem to realize that their job is in customer service. You will be dealing with rude and careless employees who take their sweet time answering the phones. This company can't seem to get it together, changing office staff every 3 months, probably to keep new staff unaware of all the stupid messes you've gone through while living here. If you end up signing a lease, don't expect to get your deposit back no matter how good of a tenant you are. Even if you over pay, while others pay $4oo less than you do for the same apartment & keep it so clean that they wouldn't have to hire a cleaning crew to come in. Be sure and get electricity set up BEFORE you move in because 2 days of electricity through the apartment complex will cost you about $220. That's about twice as much as my current electric bill for a 1500sq. ft home, not a tiny apartment. Also, after 6 weeks you'll get your "first" utility bill which will be a normal amount of about $65 give or take. However, what they forget to mention is that this in actually your SECOND utility bill, the FIRST will NEVER be mailed to you, but is expected to be paid AFTER your lease is up. So, if you never get your bill, & you never pay it, you rack up late fees. All of this will be taken out of your deposit that you were told you have to wait 60-90days for it to come in the mail, which by the way of TEXAS RENTERS RIGHTS is illegal. UNDER TEXAS LAW a landlord MUST return tenants security deposit WITHIN 30 days, given you have given the complex a written letter expressing your intentions of not renewing your lease (which we did 60 days prior to our ending lease date). By the way, the 60-90 days you have to wait is because they switched their accounting crews & no one knows what they were doing in there.

Again as I spoke about on the review site you put this on. We return your deposit like any other management company minus charges that are your responsibility. We don't pay your utilities so when you leave with them unpaid of course anyone is going to take that out of your deposit. As far as staff go our staff goes the majoring of our staff at Meridian has been with us almost a year. When it comes to rent prices you can go anywhere in the US and pricing changes depending on the market. That is the reason for a lease. You want to lock in the price because we don't know when those prices are going to go back up or down. If you were in a lease and the pricing went up you would not ask us to please up my rent. Reason being is because your in a legal binding document which keeps us from being able to do that. The same goes for someone coming in and the market may have changed so they came in at a time prices were less and signed a lease-we would ask them when they went back up to sign a new lease so we could charge them the current rate. Im sorry that you feel you were misled but the lease clearly states everything and the utility companies we have no control over. We wish you the best and hope you have found your forever home. Living at Meridian has been wonderful so far! The staff is helpful and friendly. Nikki, Maribel and Norma have been so great about checking in to make sure that maintenance requests are taken care of in a reasonable amount of time. The maintenance staff have personally gone above and beyond to make sure that my home is functional and comfortable! I would definitely recommend Meridian to my friends and family!

I had great customer service I had some issues with my cable the wire on the outside needed to be changed. The manager had her maintenance come and fix it right away. Any issues I have they are here the same day. The apartment is nice and comfortable for a reasonable price. I would recommend it to friends. The maintenance people are very respectful and explain everything to you. The people in the office are also friendly and helpful.

I'm in love with my new apartment, this was an excellent choice. The staff including Ms.Nikki was so good at selling this to me. She even helped me set up electricity and renters insurance. The pool looks amazing and I love the fact it has a playground here for my kids. I recommend this property !!!

I have lived here 15 years and have seen so many management companies and office staff, but since the most recent switch I can say the new manager has really made this a great place to live. She is always in the office and has a warm and welcoming smile. I've never seen a manager actually walking the property so it feels good to see her do that . I would recommend Meridian just based off the staff.

If you haven't lived in Midland/Odessa, Texas before then more likely than not, you're in for a big disappointment. Meridian apartments are in one of the nicer areas of Midland. Just across the street on all 4 sides of Meridian are either newer homes, condos or brand new luxury apartments. These apartments were built in the late 80's and have the stereotypical floor plans of that era. Small master bathroom, with sink and counter part of the actual room. The living room is huge, kitchen and eating area small. The current (2015) management is wonderful and so is the maintenance. However, that being said, they are very understaffed, it is a very common problem in all of Midland's industries outside the Energy Sector. So it is very difficult to get anything fixed, because emergency maintenance always gets priority. 11 months into my lease add I still have not had a missing vent or broken window locks fixed, with 3 separate work orders in. When my AC broke, and on a different occasion my dryer, they replaced it the next day. Midland is an oil town, and it is in the ugliest party of South West Texas. No hills, no mountains, very few trees, no scenery. It's dry, windy, dusty, the water is so disgusting that in hotels and man camps there are stickers above faucets saying "Do not drink water". These things being said Meridian is one of the better places to live in comparison to everything else in the city. Good for the price, good location.
The meridian apartments are good apartments. They are older apartments but have been updated. I have lived here for 2 years and they have been great. The office staff is very friendly and helpful. Any maintenance issue I have ever had always gets resolved in a timely manner and typically fixed right the first time. They are a pet friendly community and most of the people here have pets. The pool is great and always clean and ready to swim in. I really like it here at the Meridians.
