Donna, Texas is named for Donna Hooks, the daughter of a land developer in the 1900s. Weslaco’s history dates back to 1916, when the US Army established a camp close to the US-Mexico border. The camp was used as a training facility during WW1. The Queen City of Mercedes is one of the oldest cities in the Rio Grande Valley, founded in 1907.

Property Ratings at Mercedes Apartments
The apartment was ok, they supposed to return my deposit because nothing was wrong I leave the apartment April 2023 and as of today September 2023 still didnt receive my 350 deposit back. I went to ask Mrs. Angela the property manager and she told me the check was issued and she will be email the corporative that was a month ago and today Mrs Angela its not there, theres no property manager to ask.
I’ve been living here since 2017 and ever since we got new management, nothing has been able to get fixed, management doesn’t care if there are problems in the unit & maintenance most of the times watches YouTube videos on how to “fix” whatever they are trying to fix. If there’s a problem in your unit you can’t trust that management/maintenance will do anything to get it fixed. Might as well just do it yourself. I’ve had to hire my own AC Technician to fix my AC because all maintenance does is a temporary fix. DO NOT RECOMMEND!
I got very good service from the management office to the maintenance personnel, the apartment is clean and neat. I had a problem with the amount of water coming out from the faucet and they came right away to fix it. Neighbors are also nice. The whole neighborhood is quiet. This is the best place I've lived in so far.
I love how I still get to have a private life. Apartments have a lot of room, I feel safe having cameras on the complex!
Bad experience with these apartments, ran into 2 problems and they never answered my calls on the weekend even after I left messages. my food spoiled twice because they didn't fix the problem the first time, then they bring me another used fridge handle breaks after 2 weeks and they charged me for it. Also once I moved out they charged me to clean apartment, even though my apartment was always clean. they charged me $130 to clean and wax floors, there was no need to wax floors but they take your money as excuse to clean and prepare for the next person who moves in. Very unsatisfied not to mention they roaches too
