The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Melrose on the Bay Apartment Homes
I got taken advantage of as this was the first place I moved into as a young adult. I signed for a "renovated" appartmet and was later told by a matinance man that our appartment isn't even renovated after him and his team has came to not fix a myriad of issues I placed requests for. The worst of all is the A/C issue. During the summer months, we can not get our A/C below 80 degrees even with 4 fans running at all times. We were told my matinance to not turn our air down below 78 degrees before 9-10pm because if we do we are "wasting money". This has resulted in almost $400 MONTHLY electic bills ON TOP of rent and water bills... There was also the issue of our hot water heater being turned up after a matinance man didn't realize he turned off the hot water heater while trying to repair a leak in the shower. We've had matinance come out 3-4 times to fix the water heater since we can not get cold water in the shower anymore. Parking is a joke. My partner struggled to park close to our apartment after he came home from work. They just put a policy in place this week to cut down on this parking issue. The leasing office doesn't respond to emails or return voicemails. Long story short I'm moving next month.

Good morning and thanks for taking the time to complete the survey. I apologize that the apartment did not meet your expectations and I will find out who leased it to you. As far as maintenance is concerned, you do NOT have to be there in order for our TEAM to take care of your needs. They have all had background screenings, work in extreme conditions and do not make appointments so if they missed you or could not come when it was a good time for you, I apologize. They're work load is tremendous. I wish you the best on your future housing needs.
I lived there when it was foxbridge on the bay and it was a great place. The grounds were always neatly kept office staff was great and maintenance were all very polite and friendly. If anything went wrong in my apartment they were on it right away. It was a safe and quiet place to live. New management took over making it melrose on the bay and things started going down hill. I moved shortly after that I no longer felt safe or comfortable. I also know that the section 8 tenants that were at foxbridge were asked to leave by the new management.
Do not move here. The women in the office are all liars. They lie about small things like how many days you have to pay rent after it’s due so that they can collect a late fee. They also said I would be able to view the apartment before I signed, didn’t happen. There is a huge dent in my refrigerator. When I went to tell them about it they said they already knew. But still moved me in. The floors aren’t leveled. They don’t clean the carpet before you move in. The apartment they show you looks nothing like the one you will get. The one they show you will have lighter carpet, It’s not really 750 sqft. It’s more like 700. There is never anywhere to park. There is overspray everywhere. Dried paint that looks like it’s dripping. They make you pay for garbage but there’s always garbage everywhere but the dumpster. There are raccoons everywhere. All day everyday. I hear word for word what my neighbors talk about. They argue literally every morning. The cabinet in the bathroom looks like an arts and craft project from a child. The closet is small and you can’t hang a lot of clothes up. I had to buy a small hanger rack for the rest of my clothes. There is dog poop everywhere you go. The countertops are chipped and cracked. All the handles on the cabinets are rusted. The tub was chipped in multiple places. It took them a while to fix it. The sink stopper doesn’t work and they haven’t come to fix it yet. The doors to the laundry area in the apartment are broken. They haven’t come back to fix it yet. The are vents are in places where it’s hard to feel the air. Where no one would be sitting. There’s a soft spot in the ceiling like it’s water leaking. They haven’t fixed that. The bottom of the front door is not completely sealed. I’m a very clean person. There are small roaches and fire ants everywhere and I don’t know why. I clean excessively now. I hate this place and can’t wait to move. We’ve been here since February 2018 and we’ve already started looking for other places to live. I cannot.
Property Manager at Melrose on the Bay Apartment Homes, Responded To This Review
Hello ,Thank you for leaving a wonderful review for us here at Melrose. It's always great receiving such lovely feedback from our valued residents and we're glad you love it here. If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know!
This is our last year here. We had issues with all kinds of bugs. Their bug man is a joke. Would spray the island area and tell us it was our fault. They never made any headway with the bugs. After almost a year we hired a professional company. They told us their bug man was a joke. After two months we are bug free. All the stuff their bug man was doing and said was false. Also, all of our drains drain very slow. They keep coming over and pour stuff and acid down the drain. It lasts almost a week then once again it clogs up. My wife has gone to the office to complain the last two days and no one has come to check it out. The bathroom sinks drain slow too but since they still drain they won't fix them. Another issue is the electrical wiring. All of the outlets are loose in the wall and some you can't even plug anything in them because their is nothing holding the plug in place. In others the plug just fall out of the socket. Not to mention that when you plug an item into an outlet sometimes sparks fly. Finally, do a walk around. Some rocket scientist decided to place zip ties around the fire extinguisher boxes. Not just one tie but two. I still don't understand how you are supposed to open them in an emergency. Beware of this place. Compare the prices there is a reason the rent is a cheaper here. It's called substandard housing. The City of Largo or the State of Florida should check into this place because, I'm sorry to say, sooner rather than later tragedy is going to strike.
A quiet place to come home to; with amenities such as: beautifully landscaped property, ponds filled with fish and turtles, assigned parking, swimming pool and a fitness room. The maintenance crew (licensed) stays on top of the issues. I've lived here for 6 years and don't plan on moving!
I currently live here and hate it. When we first were shown the apartment, we were shown a nice place. We were so happy to move in. Then, when we saw our actual apartment it was very different. There were holes in the walls, spiders, rusty sinks, paint stains, and paint smell. The vanities in our apartment are falling apart. We have spoken to the main office and they say they will fix it, but we have been waiting for 2 months. This is an affordable place, but you can find a better apartment for the same price. And if you do choose to take a lease here, make sure they show you the actual apartment that you will be living in that way there won't be any surprises because if you do have any problems, it may take a while to get it fixed.
I've been here going on 2 yrs renting for the first time since 1990. Since my son turned 18 I decided it was time to sell my house and rent again. I like it in many ways, like when something breaks. Or you don't have to clean your pool or mow the lawn, but I can't stand the teens standing in front of my apt with their underwear hanging out. No privacy whatsoever. Need a new place for sure.
A place of relaxation a nice getaway from noise! A pool for our hot summer days or a nice outing with the kids! These spacious apartments have washer & dryer connections with Island kitchens! A laundry mat right by the pool area is a plus. Get fit 24/7 at the free fitness center! Don't worry friends & family are welcome to join too! The playground area is nice for the kids to play after a long hard day at work! Assigned parking & guest parking guaranteed so you'll never miss out on a spot! I love these Apartments! Feels like the perfect home
