Property Ratings at Mellmanor Apartments
I would highly recommend this aparement complex. The property manager, Josie was a breath of fresh air and was so responsive to tenant needs/requests. The complex is kept up well and the neighbor's were friendly and quiet. If you are thinking of moving, this is a fantastic option!!
Lived here for 9 years. The sound proofing is great. Of all the neighbors we had over the years, we never had to complain about noisy neighbors. If you keep the windows closed, you can't hear the busy street and freeways nearby. We love the area and will miss living here. Lots of great local restaurants along with the usual chain stores right across the street. If you are a reliable renter and take care of your apartment, it is easy to live here comfortably for many years.
I lived there for 2 years. The community is safe and clean. Josie the manager goes far and beyond to help you and provides wonderful service. Maintenance team are very friendly people. They had a security team. Overall a very good experience.
This place was very conveniently located, very close to grocery stores (Albertsons, Trader Joe's, Target, Wal Mart), gas stations, veterinarians, gyms, a park, the I-8 and highway 125, as well as Sharp Grossmont hospital. The complex is quiet, safe, and family friendly. Josie, the property manager was very nice and helpful, and was also lenient during one month of tough financial times for our family. She always answered our questions and was prompt whenever we had issues in the apartment (AC, clogged drain from hair, offered free light bulbs, and when the burners on our stove went out). She also was very knowledgeable of the area and offered advice when traveling throughout San Diego. The main complaint would be not enough parking! Often times if you're a resident, you may not get a spot as the visitors parking is not very clear/not enough. If there had been better parking, I would give a 5/5 rating. Otherwise, I would definitely live here again and recommend it to family and friends.
I've been living in this complex for 5 years with my family. The maintenance guy is professional and does everything on time. Josie, the office manager, is doing a fantastic job considering the fact that she is taking care of 170 apartments all by herself. Very professional, courteous and makes sure everything gets done. In all my years here I never had to wait for more than a day to get anything done. Very efficient operation. You can write an email with the request, it gets printed, solved and filed. Landlord is great and paying for every service imaginable, from cleaning pools twice a week (whether people use it or not) to paying pest control people and having a full time gardener. In 5 years I haven't seen one rodent or cockroach in our apartment (I started thinking there are no cockroaches in San Diego, nice change from NYC apartments). Overall, nice, clean and quite place.
Have livefd here 2 years and apartments are very well kept. Prices are gd compared to other communitues.They have recently upgraded exterior look along with windows and pool area .Clubhouse is beautiful.Staff is friendly and prompt and always willing to assist your needs.Management is always willing to answer any questions and does her best in resolving issues I have addressed.In general: Great place,gd prices,friendly staff and best of all conveniently located .
the building looks fine, the apartments are not...the manager Josie is a joke, she is nice to your face but nothing gets fixed and numerous complaints about the noise get you nothing...I am looking to move out..be forewarned...don't move here...they also consistently raise the rent..
This apartment complex is in the heart of La Mesa. Nearly everything you need is walking distance; the trolley station, a shopping center, even the gym! The staff here is so welcoming and friendly. Almost every morning I run into Martha, one of the maintenance workers, and she always starts my day with a kind smile. There are two pools, a laundromat and two large parking structures. You'll never want to leave home!
I have lived at Mellmanor Apartments for 3 1/2 years and I have never had any major issues with anything. The staff is friendly, outgoing, and very courtious. Overall great place to live.
