Holland and Zeeland are neighboring towns in western Michigan off the shore of Lake Michigan. Most of the area is rural and filled with wooded spaces and farmland, but the commercial parts of Holland/Zeeland are situated between both towns in the southern section of Highway 31. The commercial section of town features plenty of modern amenities and entertainment like hotels, restaurants, big-box stores, grocers, and more. A theme park, gardens, and trails along Macatawa River are located in the area as well. More outdoor recreation is provided by Lake Michigan and Grand Rapids, which is only 30 miles northwest.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Meadow Springs Apartments
We loved the apartments so we tried to apply for the June 22 one, but we couldn't because I don't have my SSN because I just came to live in Holland a few weeks ago from other country, because of my husband job. I had my passport and stay visa to prove who I am, but that wasn't enough even when my husband has the SSN, and everything to apply. Just for reference we went to other places and that wasn't a problem at all. They said if I have my passport would be enough to apply.
North side of Holland is where it's at! Ashley and Holly in the leasing office are professional, knowledgeable and simply wonderful. We moved here a year and a half ago into a loft with a pond view. The lofts are fabulous and huge! Natural light floods through the windows making it feel even bigger. When our heater didn't want to heat, the amazing maintenance people got us setup right away with space heaters and our heater was up and running in no time. We ended up downsizing to a smaller unit after a year (rather be kayaking than cleaning). Ashley and Holly worked with us and after moving 7 times in 10 years, I think we finally got it right. The big bay windows in the livingroom, slider in the master bedroom, 1.5 bathrooms (in a one bedroom apartment! Score!!) and overall charming, classy layout makes it feel like home. Close to downtown, food galore, shopping and a quick ride to kayaking Lake Macatawa, Meadow Springs is where Im proud to call home.
The management and maintenance staff on-site are awesome! Your issues are responded too almost immediately. In that respect, you are definitely getting your money's worth - which is kind of steep in comparison to other properties in the neighborhood, but worth it if you have the extra wiggle room in your housing budget. There are some issues concerning the outside portion of the complex, specifically, the garages in the winter-time and security cameras. Although there are security cameras outside the buildings, my roommate and I have noticed some are just dangling, facing the ground, which appear to not really be working. Also, in the winter-time, you have to shovel in front of your garage. It was initially assumed with them telling us at signing that the plow and shoveling services included that on the roadway in front of the garage, however, it does not. It is your responsibility to clean all snow in front of your garage door (if you get one); if there are any damages due to snow not having been removed, you are responsible for those charges. So get a shovel! All in all, it's a really nice environment to live in, outside of the security camera issue, it does feel safe. Also, it's not a very loud housing development. For those who absolutely can't stand their neighbor's playing their bass and sound system like it's going out of style, this is a good place for you! Sometimes we hear loud music from cars driving by, but we have never had noise issues in our actual unit from neighboring units.
Conveniently located close to just about anything you might need, this apartment complex is nicely landscaped with lots of green space and multiple ponds all of which are well maintained. Garages are available if needed. The 2-story loft has lots of windows as well as a full-sized slider allowing for natural light and air movement. Full compliment of appliances, including stove, fridge, dishwasher and washer/dryer. Apartments are very clean and well maintained. Maintenance issues are addressed quickly and efficiently. Management is very responsive and quick to offer help. There's a complimentary fall furnace checkup and filter change. Residents are very conscientious and friendly. Pet friendly, too. Super quiet and safe. This was the only apartment complex I found that felt more like a home than an apartment.
With a curb appeal that rivals all other apartment properties in the Holland area, Koetje properties has a winner with Meadow Springs. Affordable apartment living with a large selection of floor plans, available garage and pet friendly, this is where you need to start your apartment search. Professionally maintained grounds that are well lit with secure entrances to all buildings, gives you the peace of mind you are looking for. The professional office staff, is ready to assist you with any questions you may have. An automated maintenance reporting system allows you to report and track any issues or concerns. Close to shopping and dining with public transportation available. Apartments are well maintained with open floor plans, up to date appliances, individual heating and A/C controls, full sized washer/dryer and plenty of storage. Ample parking is available and the optional over sized garage is perfect for those renters that need the extra space. So if you are looking for a clean, quiet, top shelf place to call home, I highly recommend Meadow Springs Apartments. You will not be disappointed.
This is one of the best Apartments in Holland. I have been living in couple of other apartments in Holland so far but Meadows comes as no 1 in my list. The Apartment is neat and clean. It is quiet. all the popular stores and super markets are in radius of 2-3 miles. Apartment staff is also prompt and very quick to the service request that you put. Over all its really good apartment to stay in.
Have lived at Meadow Springs Apartments in Holland Township for over five years. The maintenance staff is responsive and friendly. The management staff is friendly and helpful. The grounds are well maintained. Weekly the lush green grass is cut in summer. In winter both the driveways and sidewalks are shoveled before I leave home in the morning. The staff puts safety first!! Amenities such as doctors and grocery stores and restaurants are within walking distance (i.e. less than a mile). Only problem is for families with little ones. There are no common playgrounds on site nor public schools or parks nearby. Although the public bus stops next to the apartment complex getting little ones to the playground will generally require a car ride.
My Fiance and I looked all over Holland for the perfect apartment. We wanted a place with a large closet in the bedroom and a garage. This place has just that and more. We looked at the apartment with the community manager and was impressed with the apartment. Nice spacious living room dinning room area. The kitchen works well for all my culinary creations, and best of all it's not a traditional galley kitchen. There were a few things we did find a little unsettling. Mainly the decks/balconies are all connected by stair ways, this is good for getting out of the apartment in an emergency, however, anyone can walk right up to the slider. Furthermore, the balconies/decks are off the bedroom, which means anyone could watch you while you sleep if you have the blinds open. However, after being here for a year, we quickly realized that was not as justified a concern. Then there is the heating of the units. While the units are great and comfortable, this complex was built a while ago and hasn't had a lot of updating on the windows/sliders. As such it can stay a little cooler than expected. One good thing, is the heating systems in the apartments seem to just sip gas. Our 1 Bedroom apartment has only had a gas bill of 40 dollars on the worst month. All in all, Meadow Springs Apartments is an exceptional complex. The office staff, Ashley and Holly, both strive to make this place the best it can be. They work for their tenants without wavering. I called Ashley one day about an issue I noticed. She called me back a week later, holiday backed everything up, and apologized about not getting maintenance over there the previous week. She had them come out that day to deal with the issue. I have never lived in a place where the office staff only needed one call to get maintenance out to fix something, let alone call you back when they couldn't get to it as soon. All the staff are friendly, I get a kick out of the maintenance man for his candor. All in all, I recommend this complex to anyone looking for a safe place to call home.
Located close to many popular stores, this apartment complex has lush green lawns, decorative bushes and trees that are maintained often. Nestled adjacent to a wooded area, you feel like you're living in the country but with city amenities near by. Mass transit bus stop near entrance to the complex provides transportation if needed with garages for auto owners. Inside, large front windows, full-sized slider and window out the back give the apartments a lot of natural light and air movement. Heat and cool are at your fingertips. Full compliment of appliances, including stove, fridge, dishwasher and washer/dryer, makes life easy. Maintenance issues are addressed quickly and efficiently. Management is very responsive and quick to offer help. They even give out free furnace filters! Semi-private entrances give you the feeling of having your own home rather than living in a commercial building. The complex layout provides curved roads and angled buildings that give a feeling that you're in a small community. Nearby are grocery stores, pharmacies, banks, medical facilities, multiple restaurants, gas stations, butcher, auto repair; a short distance from downtown, you are still on the edge of open areas including farms that provide farm-fresh eggs and produce in season. It's truly the best of both worlds. The apartments are spacious with deep closets and choice of layouts that appeal to different groups such as singles, couples, and families. One of the nicest apartment complexes I've seen!
