With SEPTA trains whisking commuters into Downtown Philadelphia in roughly 18 minutes, Wynnewood is the perfect suburban community: attractive homes along hilly, tree-lined streets, beautiful parks with everything from carousels and playgrounds to green space for community events, great shops and restaurants, and a nearby college (in this case, Haverford College). Wynnewood is even close to golf courses, with Merion Golf Club and Karakung Golf Course both located just outside the neighborhood.
Wynnewood's ideal location places it between Merion Station and Havertown, minutes from West Fairmount Park. While mostly residential, Wynnewood's shopping area is located along Lancaster Avenue at the north end of the neighborhood. Here, you'll find everything from bistros and cafes to a Whole Foods Market and large chain stores like Bed, Bath & Beyond. This property's grounds can not be equaled and the landscape is maintained to the best degree.
I have been here for at least 8 years. I love my apt. ai think the concierges, girls in office, and maintenance are great. There are just a few things that could be fixed that I have just mentioned. No place is perfect butI think certain things can be worked on.
The people who live here are lovely, as are all of the concierge staff. Months long noise complaints remain unresolved since week 2. Either management does not care about these critical issues, or they don’t care about the basic need for peace and quiet. Emails are not answered and it has affected my ability to work, function and sleep. When something affects health to this extent, and it remains unresolved, month after month after month - no amount of beautiful landscaping, pristine pool, dog park, and amenities could possibly make this an ideal place to call home.

I love my apartment. I love my neighbors. People are very friendly. Little concerned with the electricity always going out Not always the fault of the apartment, but I am concerned there is not a generator for the elevators. I can’t climb stairs. Very important.

I have lived at Maybrook for six years and have been very happy. I enjoy the amenities, especially the swimming pool and club room. The maintenance crew are great, and the grounds crew do a beautiful job.

Lovely building and grounds. Wonderful amenities. Nice neighborhood and friendly neighbors. Maintenance of building, grounds and apartments are good. Building structure is not well insulated and common building noises are heard and disruptive, i.e., stomping from upstairs is relentless or running dishwasher late at night. The building security is lacking and issues with broken entry to building doors are not resolved quickly.

Maybrook is an exceptional apartment complex in a park like setting. It is extremely walkable to the train, grocery stores and pharmacies, coffee shops and restaurants and multiple other amenities. The grounds and buildings are well cared for and maintained. The staff are personable, highly professional and very accessible.

Moving from NYC to Maybrook in the PA suburbs was a huge change, I haven’t had a car in 10 years! Carol was amazing from my 1st phone call and taking a train in to see the property to my move in just 2 weeks later! Maybrook is a wonderful place to live. There are some concerns about amenities in the non-main building but overall the management team is great, maintenance staff excellent and all the concierges helpful.

The amenities could be kept up better. Approximately 10 chairs were missing from the pool this summer; the fireplace doesn’t work in the courtyard; the ice machine in the little kitchen near the courtyard doesn’t work and hasn’t it for months. The automatic doors from the garage to the building are generally broken more times than they’re usable. It does not seem as if anyone routinely walks the hallways to see what needs to be fixed.

Maybrook is by far the best rental facility on the Mainline. Service is good and continually gets better each month. The outside areas are excellent and maintained beautifully. The staff, both service and administrative, are quick to respond to client needs. The front desk personnel are courteous and very responsive to assist in any way they can.

Since downsizing from my prior home, I am very pleased living at Maybrook. I enjoy the corner unit I chose. It is sunny and bright. I also enjoy the amenities, especially the outdoor pool.

The community has great amenities to include the pool, fitness center, grounds and package center. It's a really nice place to live. Only downsides is I hear all movements and cabinets being opened and closed by the person in the apartment above me. The train is extremely loud and when the horn is used, you can't hear anything else.

I moved here shortly after the change of management and I must say our experience has been nothing short of amazing. The front office staff is always very friendly and helpful. You never have to chase them down for an answer to your questions and they're always eager to help. The apartment has had several renovations recently that really brighten the place up! The pool is great. The parking garage is probably the only outlying issue, but I know management is working on taking care of it with a long-term solution. 5 stars, would highly recommend.

I am happy here at Maybrook. The size and layout of my 2-bed 2-bath is quite adequate for my needs. The management team is professional and very friendly. They often arrange community events which allow residents to see one another and to meet new residents. . I especially like the out door pool and all the various seating possibilities outside on the grounds. I have taken advantage of the grills and the gazebo, rain or shine.

The building and grounds are beautiful, but simple upkeep does not seem to be done. Hallway corners are chipped, daily trash on outside grounds are not picked up and dead trees not replaced.

Hi Estelle, We are so happy to hear about how much you love the grounds here at Maybrook, but disappointed to hear your other concerns. We recently had a hallway paint refresh and we are working to do a wallpaper refresh as well. Our landscapers are working with the township on the removal of trees, as we do need approval to do so. Our porters work hard each day to make sure our 36 acres of grounds look their best. I've lived in Maybrook for less than a year, and can't move out soon enough. My upstairs neighbor has two dogs that bark CONSTANTLY and she does nothing to control them. I've reported this issue numerous times to management over the past six months. Aside from allegedly telling the neighbor to control her dogs, and "assessing a financial penalty" to the neighbor, nothing has changed. I hear the dogs barking day and night, well into quiet hours (after 10 pm). After our first complaint to management, the neighbor then also started stomping around in their apartment - I guess they were mad that I complained. I have also heard that the dog bit another resident, and yet they are still permitted to live in this building. The landlord does not care about tenants right to quiet enjoyment of their property - look elsewhere if you like quiet and uninterrupted sleep.

I have been a resident of Maybrook close to two years. It has been a wonderful experience in every way. The staff has addresses every need immediately, from needing a refrigerator replaced (within hours) to lightbulbs being replaced. I have never been happier. Love the community. Grounds are lovely. So many things need repairs. Fireplace not working in courtyard and it is cold in winter. We need full time concierge and better security.
