Founded in 1897 by Dutch immigrants, Nederland is unique from other Texas towns -- it contains a windmill, for starters, and it is home to the annual Nederland Heritage Festival. Downtown Nederland's main street, Boston Avenue, is also displayed in Dutch on street signs.
If you stroll down "Heeren Straats," you'll find terrific shops and restaurants housed in historic buildings. This is also the location of the festival, which began in 1973 and attracts more than 100,000 visitors for the art show, carnival rides, parade, and events. As for the windmill, this landmark is an exact replica of a Dutch windmill and is used as a museum. Inside the Dutch Windmill Museum, you'll find a unique mix of Western artifacts once owned by Tex Ritter, artifacts from Holland, and a gift shop.

Awesome Community!!
This place is always so quiet and peaceful! The amenities that come with the quoted rent are unmatched in this area… cable/high speed internet, pid for by the owners, reserved covered parking, fitness room, pool, park, and all the tenant has to pay for is electric!! The apartment itself is so spacious and the maintenance staff always address any issues quickly. I love it!!

real witch
the manager was very judgmental. I needed a place to start over with help of my son, which was working, at the I was not waiting on answer from interview. I was not allowed to rent because I was not working even though my son was. all she could say was it's hard to start over. a real cold hearted person.
