Marlow Garden and Towers

The environment is unsafe, with gunshots almost every day. Nearly got shot when entering the apartment. No response to almost all maintenance requests for months. The leasing office staff members lie with ease. They tell you something in a moment and at other times deny ever saying it. The apartment is very dirty. Pest infestations. No heat during winter. I can go on with a list of what is wrong with the apartment. Don't ever make the mistake of moving to this apartment.

DO NOT LET THESE PICTURES FOOL YOU. The apartments are trash, the management team is trash, unprofessional, and rude. NOTHING gets fixed in the apartments!!! They are all liars. The maintenance half do what they supposed to fix. The only time they want to fix stuff is when they get in trouble. This is a terrible place to live!!! DO NOT... I REPEAT, DO NOT MOVE INTO THESE APARTMENTS!!!! I thought the same thing you are probably thinking. I can’t go off of these reviews because every one has different situations but I wish I would’ve listened to these reviews because I wouldn’t have moved here... I don’t usually do this type of thing but THIS is NOT the place to live

There is no air conditioner in the main building. The indoor temperature is always hotter than the outdoor temperature (this is summer). The leasing office will give you a booklet that says there is AC in the building, but it's a bold-faced lie. There is nothing really that residents can do about it except write reviews. In our lease it stipulates that we cannot withhold rent due to Air Conditioner malfunctioning. It's a nice place to live, but the complex is run by liars (at least when it comes to Air Conditioning). Before move-in date, be prepared to stock your closet full of fans for the summer because there will never be any of that promised AC.

Too many noisey neighboors. The rent is 1200 a month for a 2 bedroom and it is not worth that much. On the plus side there are no bugs.

Management is unprofessional and rude. Leasing staff chooses the days they want to come in. They never stay on top of their duties and you have to tell them the same thing more than 10 times--literally. They forge documents (I waited over 3 months to get my lease signed by a manager, they put they signed it the same day I did, however management was not there that day). Maintenance issues are dragged on until someone feels like coming by. Had a leak in my kitchen and the guy came up, looked at the leak as if we lied, and then went back to get tools...which took him 48 minutes. Overall, my apartment itself gets the job done, it's the poor staff and the lack of desire to keep the place looking presentable(OMG go into the basement). Some of the residents are of Section 8 quality as well, so be wary.

This building suits me perfectly. I can walk to shopping and movie theatre, the community center and tennis courts with outdoor picnic area, and there's a bus stop right at the door. It's close to everything including the beltway and 295. The staff is always helpful and maintenance is very responsive. I love it here!

Not a bad place, just old and needs to do some serious upgrades, still using the round screw in fuses, lol. I've enjoyed my stay here, very convenient to stores and highways.
