Property Ratings at Market Square Apartments
The apartments themselves are super nice and the property is also nice. But don't let the looks fool you, I would not recommend moving in here if you want to have a peaceful time. The other tenants at this complex are extremely loud, rude, inconsiderate and disruptive. Over the past year the tenants that are moving in are only getting worse and more trashy. This was a great place when I first moved in and I can not wait until my lease is up.
We are new to Wisconsin and can say we truly enjoy living here. The Apartments are very spacious with open floor plans. We have nice sized bathrooms, not tiny airplane bathrooms, and much larger than average kitchens. The people who live around us are very kind, and the neighborhood is extremely pet friendly. We are happy that there are no real parking issues, there is plenty of parking when our family visits. The move in was a little difficult because the U-Haul had to be parked in the lot near the end of our row of apartments. The way the units are situated, you are walking boxes and furniture down the sidewalk and into your apartment. Probably a little easier if you opt to rent a garage. The pool is clean and well kept, and the meeting room is modern and large enough for a good sized gathering. There is a charge to rent the clubhouse for parties, plus a fee that is non refundable. The cost is 500.00 half of which is refunded if the clubhouse is cleaned up afterwards. We feel the rental fee is a bit high, but the amenities are great. If the rental fee were lower, I believe more people would take advantage of the space for parties. The gym is small, but clean and modern. The only negative comment we could post is the monthly use of lawn chemicals and pesticides.

I have been here for a month now. I am bottom tenant and the noise from above is absolutely insane. I have three little kids who constantly wake up crying because the neighbors are so loud. When I voiced my concern to management they told me the tenants said they weren’t home. Funny that every time there is a noise complaint they weren’t home, yet I heard them slamming their doors going in and out also. Then they told me to get audio ???? ok let me tape it on my iPhone because it captures it oh so well. This is how management deals with things; figure it out yourself basically, they aren’t going to help. For the amount you pay in rent for these apartments it is far from luxury. For a little over a month now my kids and I have not had a solid nights sleep. Keep looking! Ps…also love having the weed smell flow into my apartment so me and my young kids can get a good whiff too! ?? great management

These are wonderful apartments. They are modern and have a lot of space. That being said, there is a lot of wasted space, especially in the bathrooms. Parking is a bit of a joke. When we agreed to the lease we were told we had our garage and an additional space in front of our unit. Then we started getting illegal parking stickers on our second car that was parked just outside our door. Now we are being told we only have the garage and we can park the second car behind the garage door. Not a big deal, but not what we were told or agreed to. To add to our aggravation in this parking misunderstanding, there are a few cars that have no parking sticker and have not gotten a illegal parking sticker that we’ve seen.

Apartments are nice, 4 1/2 out of 5 stars. HOWEVER, they built almost no parking what so ever and have been taking the wrong steps to resolve the issue. We own 3 cars. One is parked in front of our full garage. The other is parked in a separate detached garage we pay extra for. The last is parked behind our building where there is a surplus of 2-3 extra parking spots a night. Woke up this morning to find out our car had been towed FROM OUT OWN HOME and had a 200$ fee tacked on to retrieve it. And to top it all off they just commissioned two more buildings to be built in the complex instead of building additional parking for the current residence or future residences of the new buildings. Rent is also extremely high for what you get, especially when no utilities are included.
