Manors at Brookmere

Lovely place I have only been here for 3 werks I like it but there are somethings that need to be fixed or replaced.

Light bulb out I originally called and left a message and never got a call back. However when j placed the maintenance request it was responded to in a timely manor.

Remodel!!! Bathrooms need to be updated. Shower and bathtub are kind of gross. It’s most definitely time.

If the community can come up with amenities and better control of tenants noise levels, it would be highly recommended to family and friends.

I would recommend this community to others because it's safe, friendly, family-oriented, it has plenty of walking space and it's beautiful

I have been here since the beginning and have seen managers come and go! I liked it when Stephanie was here, but she was just a great conversationalist so we liked her, not much got done. I am beginning to regain my hope of this place since the new manager is here. She doesn't talk condescending, but stands her ground, and makes good on her promises. She seems like she really gives a hoot! The last manger here was theee absolute worse when it came to speaking to us, I don't even remember her name...don't wanna! I see maintenance has improved too finally! I won't give it 5 stars as of yet, but I do see waaaaay more improvement. for a minute I was beginning to doubt Brookemere.

If they secure a location not near the drainage and garbage issues, yes I would recommend. It is a great quiet location and the apartment features are nice.

As stated above, if things can improved within the community and perhaps the rental price can be adjusted or allow for the community to be better and match the rental cost, I may recommend this property to friends. I have had co-workers and friends to come out to the community, but some things they saw (garbage in streets and front yards not looking good) caused them to change their minds about renting here. As well as, the rental price.

I would recommend because the rental units are very nice, I would not because there are no utilities included and the landscaping of the area is very poor for the price you must pay for the rent.

I wonder how this place is listed as 5 stars but I see more bad reviews? I lived here a few years. Time to go. Constant change in management now owners. Every manager they bring in gets worse. Maintenance is horrible. You pay high rent and hardly can get anything fixed don’t bother calling do it yourself. New office manager has a bad attitude. I slipped on ice with no salt down. At one time this was an upscale area. Rent has gone up higher and customer service gone down. They lost the manager Stephanie things have been horrible since. This is the lowest I have seen.

My mom lives here and I recently decided to move her. Needless to say I can't wait to move my mom. I just toured the property with a friend because they are looking for somewhere to lease. The young woman was nice and friendly, but when the manager came out and snapped her head off, you can tell this is not a great working environment. First, we are potential renters and to air your dirty laundry made me wonder where they found this manager. Then the manager gave us incorrect information. The young lady, I think the manager was calling her "Brittany", was nice and tactful enough to provide us with the right information when we asked again. This property is the pitts, from people making false reports on neighbors to the manager that comes across as that rude older sister with an attitude. Some, not to be named resident, called the police on my mom because she left her truck in front of her townhouse while she was taking her groceries in. This place lacks professionalism and for almost $2000.00 a month I don't want my mom being spoken to like she is the dirt on the bottom of somebody feet. It was definitely better when they had the High School kids working there. The owners are really showing the residents they don't care about the property at all.

Visited here to tour the place and did not even bother to go in one day when I saw garbage in the streets and side walk. Who I believed to be the property manager just looked at it and kept walking. These look nice on the outside but someone told me they are cheaply done inside with cracks showing on the walls and thin walls. Would have liked a two bedroom for just myself, but plans changed quick after finding out about that.

It reminds me of my former community in Henderson, NV. Brookmere is a great community to reside in. I have been here for one year and I have not had any problems. The staff is wonderful. I love the new staff member, Latoya. She is approachable and attentive to my requests and gets the job done. Her and maintainance are great. They are always walking the community making sure everything is in place and that is one reason why I feel so strongly about the community. The Matteson police patrols the area throughout the day also. Because of all of the above, I am currently looking to purchase property here at Brookmere and I recommended this property to my brother as well and he is currently looking to purchase.

My husband and I are disappointed with our decision to move here last year. With rent going up, we will be making a decision to leave based on the following problems: 1. Brown grass everywhere in the rental area. Neighbors have complained how irresponsible management was with water usage so I am guessing management cannot pay their water bills any more with the high rent we all pay every month. 2. Pets without leashes. We have 2 toddlers who think all dogs are friendly, but not the case here. People are walking their dogs without leashes and I am speaking of pitbulls and larger dogs. 3. Not maintenance free. Me along with other neighbors have had to clean our areas when people throw trash everywhere. Again, I have toddlers who also like to pick up things. We don't want our kids picking up dirty trash so we pick up things I thought we were paying management for. 4. High rent. Why? This management is not responsible for anything. You the tenant must pay for everything. Why is our rent going up again? We do not understand. 5. Management. We first moved in when there was someone named Stephany. She was friendly to my husband and I, but then she left. There is a new person in her place and we went a long time not knowing anything about this new person. I do not think she is properly fit for this position so my husband and I limit talking with her about anything. It's like a broken record where you talk and it is like she reads her response to you. 6. Noise. It is somewhat quiet in the area but my husband is noise-prone to everything. You will hear loud music from passing cars and it will vibrate your walls. The place is thin so it is expected. 7. Rats. Yes rats that are the size of cats running around. We are close to wooded areas and on garbage days, some neighbors place their soiled garbage on the street-side curb so that is how I have saw rats. Can't think of more right now but I am sure you can find something more suitable than this for a better price. My husband and I will not make the wrong decision again when we pack up and move.

The community is well maintained. Stephanie the property manager is very efficient and quick to respond. She is an absolute delight to have on the property. The townhomes are beautifully designed and have great finishes, quite spacious. Within 5 minutes of shopping, restaurants, fitness, schools, parks, banks, major highways and expressways and toll roads. Neighbors are respectful and very clean. Maintenance is dependable and quick to attend to any needs you may have. The community is safe and well lit and signed. Garages are spacious and plenty of storage. This community is great for singles, retirees, families and is pet friendly. Love we decided to move here.

These are not cheap! Tenant pays for everything like you own the place. Maintenance is included, but be sure it’s not a problem you caused. Convenient to expressways, shopping, and restaurants. Most families are middle income and take care of their spaces. Clean and landscaped yards. Stephanie is great! She treats us with respect and she’s grateful to have us. The only drawbacks are neighbors with one car garages use visitor parking like they own it, despite management threats to tow their vehicles. And be careful not to hit one because no nearby park for children so they often play in the street.

Nice, clean brand new community. Pretty quiet area, townhouses are spacious. Landscaped yards. Stephanie is always available to help with tenant issues. Great place.
