Vibrant and historic Downtown Syracuse is much more than the city's hub. The cobblestone streets, wide sidewalks, and stately brick buildings create a fantastic shopping and dining district, while the neighborhood's proximity to Syracuse University adds a student dynamic. At the heart of Downtown Syracuse, Armory Square -- a large collection of historic warehouses and the armory that's now a museum -- is the city's nightlife hotspot. The Armory contains a large concentration of restaurants and bars as well as several unique shops.
Some of Downtown Syracuse's most beloved landmarks include the Clinton Square Ice Rink, the Museum of Science and Technology, and the historic Landmark Theatre. The ornate theater, decorated in rich red and gold, first opened in 1928. Another landmark, the McCarthy Building, was built in 1894 and is the oldest building in Syracuse.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Lofts on Willow
I lived here for a few years and ended up moving because rent kept increasing but the amenities (basically nothing. No laundry in unit and no gym) were subpar compared to newer lofts at similar price points. All the maintenance people are super nice and helpful for the most part! But there would be times in the winter where parts of the parking lot weren’t plowed until late day and I had to shovel my car out. There was also an ongoing leak through out the apartment which made them had to enter my apartment frequently and became pretty annoying. The main thing that really bothered me was there was an incident where they never gave me notice they were going to enter my apartment and I’m a pretty heavy sleeper and didn’t wake until they had already entered my apartment. I was naked and asleep and it was extremely frightening. In the end they also tried to make me pay for an extra month of rent. I’d say if they’ll give you a good deal to go for it but otherwise look elsewhere!
