Also called the Lawrence Cultural District, East Lawrence is an artistic, community-focused neighborhood. The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Lofts in the heart of downtown.
The apartment itself is great. Very clean, updated, and operational. Loses its charm after a while with obnoxious small dogs allowed, thin doors/walls, and the smell of seafood forcing your windows closed 5 days a week. The hallways and elevator often feature dog excrement you get to smell and try to avoid stepping in. Water pressure is 0 and all drains in the apartment are slow. An outdoor venue open daily until 2am is clearly audible. Occasionally the front door locks you in while trying to leave and this has not been addressed by the leasing office. Difficult to contact the leasing office about anything, leading to dead washing machines for weeks at a time and backed up plumbing with the smell of sewage. I wasn't given the code to enter the building upon move-in and had to wait outside every time I wanted to enter for someone else to let me in for 3 days before the leasing office would answer the phone to give me my code. Lots of small annoyances pile up to make the apartment not at all worth the rent. I'd say to look elsewhere but this is the reality of renting in Lawrence.
