Southpoint is a shopper's paradise, home to the popular Streets at Southpoint Mall. Residents from all over Durham head to this mall to shop its stores: Nordstrom, Belk, Sur La Table, Crate and Barrel, Apple, and Lilly Pulitzer are all located here. The mall also offers a movie theater and a variety of restaurants. Nearby strip malls contain even more shops and restaurants. Of course, shopping isn't the only reason to love Southpoint -- this neighborhood is located along I-40 for fast commutes to Research Triangle Park, roughly four miles east.
Continue on I-40 to quickly access the Raleigh-Durham International Airport, Downtown Raleigh, and North Carolina State University. Downtown Durham is about six miles north, ideal for commuting into the city or to Duke University. Chapel Hill is also nearby -- just seven miles west via I-40. With so much just around the corner from Southpoint, this perfectly-located neighborhood is a great place to call home.

An excellent location, so close to Southpoint Mall shopping and restaurants, together with good amenities, such as the salt water pool, gym and meeting rooms, and the newly built outside grilling facilities, as well as excellent maintenance and a friendly and professional staff, make the Lodge at Southpoint apartments a desireable place to live .

Courtney has been very efficient Mary has been extremely responsive. We are very disappointed about the kids playground being replaced with absolutely nothing benefiting families. Sad they removed the movie theater too. That removes all the family fun nights, besides the pool.. unless its heated. We limited on pool fun. Also what is this 2 person per tenant? How can we throw birthday parties for my kids? This place unfortunately is not family friendly ??

This is a great place to live. It’s very quiet and peaceful. The trash service is a great amenity and the complex is consistently receiving upgrades. It’s also nice having such a variety of food trucks.

For the most part, everything is great. The staff is friendly and the maintenance (specifically Mr. Eric) makes sure all my requests are met! The area is nice and we just had a lot of remodeling. But the gym is still old.

Our automatic door key mechanism started "chocking" - we reported it to the office while going to gym. Within several hours - same day - maintenance man came to our front door. Took several minutes to establish that the mechanism needs a new battery, installed same. Our automatic door key works like a charm. Maintenance man was friendly, professional, knowledgeable and did the work in minutes.

I had my eye on this community for several years as my son lived close by. It was a dream come true when I was able to secure an apartment here. There are so many pluses: location to eating and shopping, natural beauty of the community, best amenities I have seen in this area, excellent team in place.

I like the opportunity to meet other residents at social gatherings and the occasional food truck visits. The promptness in office response to requests is also refreshing.
The staff was friendly and professional. The apartment was clean, everything worked perfectly, and the move-in process was incredibly smooth. It was a great start to my new home. I highly recommend!
We’ve only been here for 9 months and we’ve already renewed our lease! Love it here. Fantastic neighbors, we’re close to EVERYTHING we need (I could list off a gazillion places but I’m exhausted ……ok, I’ll do it… target, home goods, pizza parlor, spa(ssss), penn station…..crumbl, Cava, Petco!!! I have been a resident here for nearly two years. One can see that management is continuously working to maintain standards and implement improvements.
I recently found this community and am so glad I rented here. The leasing team was helpful and made everything easy. The apartment is clean, modern, and just as advertised. I love how quiet the neighborhood is while still being close to shops and restaurants.
The units are older and not updated and it shows. Have had multiple communication issues with the leasing office. They don’t seem to care to help with any issues.
Move in process was very smooth and the grounds are lovely. The amenities are nice and maintenance has been quick to respond so far if I need something fixed.
I just moved in a few days ago and so far I like it. The neighborhood is quiet and my neighbors are nice. The front office is easy to get in contact with and maintenance was quick and very respectful.

The application process was a breath of fresh air compared to my last complex. The front office staff always made me feel welcomed, even when I dropped in for a question. The complex is very nice! The moving experience has been hassle free and the staff at the office have been very accommodating and kind. The apartment property is beautiful and I love how the many trees provide so much shade.

Been a great location to live, Target nearby, shopping, and some entertainment options. Feels pretty quiet of a neighborhood and I'd enjoy some kind of live music venue for things to do. Trail access is amazing, and other than that, just have standard large corporation apartment complaints. Feelings go up and down on renting in general, everything is so expensive and don't think it'll ever feel better. Fees, pet profiles, smart home tech, always adding things on it feels like at times to just squeeze more out of us. What ya going to do? lol I'd still live here again, but I think I'm finally going to commit to an option and try a new location, thinking of a hop out of town.

My entire experience from tour to move-in was very nice and informative. Everyone I’ve interacted with is so friendly and accommodating. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience, so far. The complex is very nice and feels very safe. I love all the outdoor amenities in or around the complex. My shy dog has even opened up here and loves all her amenities as well. If you’re thinking about moving to Sothooint, definitely consider the Lodge!

Overall, we are happy here. Maintenance gets 5 stars as they are always prompt and helpful. No parties in the clubhouse or pool is ridiculous. The lack of decent wifi makes the "work space" unusable. We certainly pay enough rent to have free printing. I am curious to know what's going to happen with big dirt patch that used to be the putting green? And the gym desperately needs a refresh.

A couple of. days ago after the heavy rain a corner of our 2nd bedroom. was flooded. Maintenance responded immediately They dried the carpet and all and we were back to normal within 24 hours ! Good job. No place has better maintenance !

Love the location, access to conveniences and some entertainment options. Community has been pretty peaceful and enjoyable. I wish there was a better path option to get to target, and a car wash spot/bay would be awesome to have as well.

Very welcoming atmosphere within the workers and residents so far living here. Very quiet neighborhood besides the cars passing by on the main street that believe they’re in F1! The maintenance team is amazing and does their hardest to fix whatever problem! Courtney is the kindest gal you’ll meet in trying to find an apartment! She’s straightforward and doesn’t try to hide facts about the area.
