I have been living here for 6+ months now and I see the sewage water coming out from the bathtub and toilet seat almost every week. You cant use your bathroom almost every other day and the maintainance service stopped responding too after a while.
Leasing office is incredibly unhelpful, they solve absolutely no issues that you have. Roaches and rats were everywhere.
been in this hell hole going on 11years and getting worse from mince,bugs the car being messed up to shots fired in the area,one 21 year old man found dead a few years ago in front of one apartment building been over a year and half trying to get the security door to building repaired but no luck people coming in off the street to sleep,smoke weed and hang in hallway anyone can just pull door open without a key I have several emails from me to office asking for door to be fixed but so far after 1 1/2 years not fix as of yet but leasing office says they are security building I'm guessing that's why there is legal aid attorney to help with such landlords like these but landlord will reply to this about how sorry they are there a issue but still do nothing about it but I'm sure they'll say we can move if not happy the housing authority need to investigate these apartments
This place was horrible ! Staff was too smart! Mice & bugs every where
Horrible place to live, they don’t care about the residents. There’s mice here and they don’t do anything about it
The staff never answers the phone there are rats, growing mold and ceilings caving in. It sounds like an exaggeration but that's being put mildly
I really wish I could leave a review less than one! I moved here mid June despite the terrible reviews. I’ll start with the positive points; the hardwood floors are beautiful, the apartment itself is very spacious and I love the outside lighting that I receive from the living room window!! The leasing office makes too many excuses for the problems that exists! Due to COVID-19 I was unable to see the apartment prior to moving in but was assured that it was up to par. That was far from the truth. I was told that I had to pay first prior to seeing the apartment, so I did. When I walked into the building the carpets were visibly filthy and paint was pulled and chipped off of the walls. The entry door to my apartment was missing the outside doorbell fixtures on the door and when I inquired about it I was told that because of the security entry door a bell isn’t needed.. I was told that the apartment complex was in the process of renovating the hallways. In the kitchen I have a painted over dented refurbished refrigerator that was missing compartments in the freezer and refrigerator section. I have a puddle on more floor every morning because it leaks. My food freezes because you can’t regulate the temperature. I was told that I would be receiving a new refrigerator two months ago and was told that it was ordered but because of COVID it’s delayed. I still don’t have it! I have a gas stove in my unit from the 80’s, but it works. In my bathroom I have rusted drain fixtures and a painted over tub, with a boot print. There has been several occasions when Unbeknownst to me I had gotten up to take a shower and didn’t have any hot water, and never received any information of the problem nor updated on the status of the repair! To say that I have had enough is an understatement. The owners of this property really do not care about their residents. This apartments need to be shut down and renovated! The grounds are well kept but the buildings are pathetic. I wouldn’t recommend this complex to anyone!

omg I love my new apartment. apparently some of them are remodeled and they must be really gorgeous. I was put in something called the 'classic', but really, it's just the ones they didn't remodel. The space is like nothing you see in newer builds today. you just have to see it to believe it. If you like older and charming this is the place for you. I live in a 'large'. I knocked off one star because it has taken over 4 weeks to get rid of the bugs. Here's my advice. Do not move anything in, or at least don't set up, until 1) every baseboard is sealed with caulk. that is where the roaches (yes roaches) come in. Sealing the baseboards eliminates that problem. I mean move the fridge and stove too. 2) Seal every window frame as well. that is where the ants come in. Use pest control though to get the bait to kill the nests first. then seal. Maintenance will and can do this but it takes a long time. better to just have some handy so you can work on it too. just saying. took and is taking over a month, because you have to wait for the nests to die after you discover them. 3) get a new floor sweep for your front door and weather stripping for the side. bugs can come in even after your own apartment is sealed. Finally 4) you'll want to have your heater room sealed for mice. I didn't see those yet and don't wanna! lol. Once that is all done (probably another couple of visits after 4-5 weeks) you will have a gorgeous place. I used bleach spray (per internet) to get rid of mold around the siding within the front door frame. and am still cleaning my bath tiles and wood flooring, which were dirty on move in. It's a discount apartment so 'the works' aren't really included when you move in, if you know what I mean. Sherelle is great to work with too and VERY understanding. Maintenance has a great group of people. you will have to wait a few days or more, though for non-emergency requests, i.e. requests like the ones above. And be patient if your hallway/stairwell area looks bad as that is a to-do for them. mine was embarrassing when I arrived, lol. (Advice above per pest control, which comes on wednesdays to the property). Best of luck in your apartment search!!

The day I picked up my keys I found a couple roaches. I came back later that night and opened the stove to find a NEST of roaches and mice poop everywhere! This place is disgusting. Dont waste your time. But hey if you like rooming with roaches then I guess this would be the place for you. It's the nastiest apartment I have ever been in. Glad I got out the lease and my money back.

I recently moved into my apartment and the oven/stove was in HORRIBLE condition. I called the office on my move in day to see if someone can come and clean it because I was NOT cooking on that stove stop. It was old food and gunk where the eyes of the stove were. Also the eyes of the stove where rusted and looked very unsanitary to even cook your food on. When I turned the oven on it smells of fumes which NO ONE would cook their food in. I requested a new oven and the lady at the leasing office said they have to check and test it out first before they make a decision. I dont know why they thought giving/keeping an oven in this condition was ok.

Ok. First of all the apartments are dirty and old. They smell bad and theirs stains on carpets a and hard wood floors. God forbid you have a maintenance issue cuz you won’t get help. My whole bathroom was clogged and I didn’t get any help. I had to use the toilet in my neighbors house cuz every time I flushed my toilets my kitchen sink backed up as well as my tub. These people don’t care. I’m begging anyone considering these apartments DONT

Maintenance staff is very slow when responding to problems. There are roach and mice infestations. The laundry room is dirty and gross. The price is too high for the conditions of the complex.
As a college student isn't abundant. Living at loch raven you pretty much get what you pay for. It's not the most appealing but for a reasonable price and a place to make a temporary home, you can make your apartment however you desire it be.
These buildings are old, walls paper thin , floors are weak and there is a mice infestation. Exterminator came earlier this year just to put down "sticky pads". That's it. Carpet should be a requirement for anyone not living on the ground floor. Something as simple as hearing your upstairs neighbor's footsteps can be quite aggravating. Don't let the landscaping fool you.
