Located just three miles northeast
of Downtown Austin, Mueller
is a wildly popular neighborhood best known for its parks – especially Mueller Lake Park, a 30-acre park wrapped around a large lake. Mueller wasn’t always the charming village it is today – it began as an airport. When the Robert Mueller Municipal Airport was relocated in 1999, the city saw an opportunity to develop a master-planned community located just two miles from the University of Texas at Austin.
As a planned neighborhood, Mueller provides the ideal blend of residential, commercial, and office districts. In addition, it features gorgeous parks, numerous hiking trails, and community swimming pools. The Northwest Greenway includes a 10-foot-wide hiking and bicycling trail, a picnic area, and an accessible playground. Ella Wooten Park features a playground, open green space, a basketball court, a five-lane lap pool, and a wading pool for children.
Mueller apartments provide easy access to downtown and the university as well as the area’s top destinations like the Texas Capitol, the Paramount Theatre, the Mexic-Arte Museum, and the Austin Convention Center. Mueller is home to some of Austin’s most popular restaurants, such as the Halal Corner, Kyoten Sushiko, MOD Pizza, Gino’s Vino Osteria, and Fresh Off the Truck.
