Fallon has a desert climate with cold winters and hot summers. Because Fallon has an elevation of 4,000 feet, the temperature variation between day and night can be significant, especially during the summer months. The climate remains dry all year with very little rainfall and low humidity. In the winter, the temperatures during the day usually remain above freezing; however, the nights can get quite chilly. Fallon usually experiences periods of dense fog in the winter as well. The average high temperature is in July at 92 degrees, and the average low temperature is in January at 18 degrees.
