Brooksville is a small city adjacent to Spring Hill and roughly an hour’s drive north of Tampa. Numerous well-preserved historic homes and buildings can be found all over Brooksville, and many streets in town are still paved with cobblestones laid over a century ago. The city is quite close to several huge nature preserves, including Chassahowitzka National Wildlife Refuge and Withlacoochee State Forest, which provide thousands of acres of natural splendor ripe for hiking, biking, and camping.
