Located only 10 miles southeast of downtown Miami and connected to the mainland by the Rickenbacker Causeway, Key Biscayne Village provides residents with a relaxing, true island-living lifestyle. It is the population center of this most southerly of Florida's barrier islands with which it shares its name. The island offers four beaches that all lie within easy walking distance to apartment residents of the village. The largest of these beaches, Crandon Park, enjoys the distinction as the most popular. Dog owners can walk their leashed pets at Hobie Beach, and the warm climate creates the perfect settings for enjoying the beach all year long. Key Biscayne Village also offers several hot spots for dining, including Putino Key Biscayne, a fine Italian restaurant. For more casual dining, residents have the option of Pita Pockets, which offers food prepared fresh daily using produce from local farmers.

I have gone to Key Biscayne with my family for some vacations and all I can say is that it is excellent for this purpose. You can enjoy a beautiful day at the beach along with a little bit of history with the lighthouse and some ancient architecture. The restaurants are very nice overall, as well as the parks. The fact that you can go around the town in a golf cart is amazing.

Key Biscayne is a place of respect. People are always conscious of the environment, the residents, the animals, the plants, and the workers. People always stop to say "Hi," whether it is a person that has been living or a person that has been working in Key Biscayne for a long while. People in Key Biscayne learn the important values of life.
