Located about 16 miles northeast of Downtown Jacksonville, the Cape gives its residents a secluded escape from the fast pace of the city. Anyone who loves wildlife can expect to enjoy life in this neighborhood, as it provides a great outdoors experience that's made even better by balmy Florida weather. Take the kayak out and go fishing at Mink Creek, admire some elegant big cats at the Catty Shack Ranch, or head towards the edge of the Cape to spend a day out at Sheffield Regional Park.
You can find houses for rent on both the north and south parts of the Cape, while most of the local businesses stick to the south end. The neighborhood has a few casual cuisine options, including KT's Pizza and Nagasaki Sushi and Grill. For more entertainment, locals hop on nearby Interstate 95 or 295 to check out the city's hot spots.
