Along with its food and dining scene, Temescal is also known for its liveliness and excellent location. Festivals like the Temescal Street Fair are held throughout the year. Downtown Berkeley, Downtown Oakland, and the University of California Berkeley are just three miles away from the neighborhood. This pedestrian-friendly locale has multiple bus stops and a rail station along 40th Street, taking locals into Downtown Oakland in about 20 minutes.

Very walkable neighborhood with lots of food options. Cheap eats to expensive meals - you can find it all. The Sunday morning Farmer's Market is also one of the best in the Bay.
