Rita Ranch is a beautiful desert community located about 17 miles southeast of Downtown Tucson and is a great choice for anyone who prefers a quieter suburban area. Rita Ranch has one of the top public school districts in the state and is near Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, making the area a popular location for families, but anyone can enjoy this scenic residential neighborhood. Along with cacti gardens and views of Mica Mountain, Rita Ranch has several parks and trails like Fantasy Island Trail Head and Ivan’s Spot Dog Park. Rita Ranch is primarily residential and there are only a few shopping plazas in the area, so many residents travel into surrounding areas for more options. Interstate 10 allows for easy travel into the heart of Tucson and beyond. The neighborhood has a wide range of rental options available including luxury apartments and large single-family houses, many of which have pools to help offset the Arizona heat. This close-knit community hosts events throughout the year like Family Fun Days and holiday celebrations.

Very safe neighborhood with a lot of friendly neighbors. You feel safe within your neighborhood because not a lot happens here and plus all your neighbors are very aware. So it's safe and quiet. It's very comfortable.

Rita Ranch is probably the best residential area of Tucson, Arizona, and I enjoy living here. It is a nice, quiet suburb with all the stores and restaurants you could want, and the closest high school is a good one.
