Nestled on Baltimore's north side, Poplar Hill is one of the city's most charming neighborhoods. A pocket of wooded hills and winding streets, Poplar Hill offers picturesque homes atop manicured lawns. The many backyard streams feed into nearby Jones Falls, a nearly 18-mile stream that runs through Baltimore. Poplar Hill is also practical -- it is just east of Johns Hopkins at Mount Washington, and it is about a mile from Notre Dame of Maryland University. Johns Hopkins University is about two miles south of Poplar Hill. While the neighborhood is mostly residential, some shops and restaurants are located along Falls Road.
