Right next door to McAllen and about an hour from Brownsville, Pharr is a mainly-suburban border city with a rich local character. Many of the local schools are excellent and the crime rate is considerably lower than many of the neighboring communities, making it a desirable location for families.
Each spring, Pharr Hub Phest draws big crowds with a fun mix of music, carnival rides, and celebrations of South Texas’ unique culture.
